Re: I Cried, I Admit It.

just saw the winning kick on tv at the hotel because I couldn't see it well at the game- I heard the roar, but (Tampa) waited for the official. Slowest signal ever, considering now I see that it was money |

Re: I Cried, I Admit It.
I bawled like a baby...I literally sobbed for a good 20 minutes. I've followed this team for 40+ years, and this is unreal to me. I just wish my dad had been here to enjoy this, too...but I know he's watching from above, and maybe even pulled a little mojo for us. Thank you, Dad!!
And this is for those like Kilmer, Abramowicz, Parks, Fears, Dodd, Stonebreaker, Manning, Brock, and more...players who could only dream of a season like this in New Orleans, and who deserved it so much. I especially wish that the Dome Patrol could have gone to a Super Bowl together...this one is especially for them. |

Re: I Cried, I Admit It.
I too cried, leap for joy, screamed like a little girl...lol. I have followed the Saints since they came into existance in 1967. On December 1st I bought my Super Bowl tickets. While it's always been my dream to go to a Super Bowl, I could have never imagined that my first Super Bowl will also be the Saints first too. I will represent the Who Dat nation proud in Miami, I promise you! I'm still crying...lol. I'll never get to sleep tonight.

Re: I Cried, I Admit It.
It's all starting to set in today. I cried when that field goal went in and they all started piling on on each other. What an amazing feeling!!!
|
Re: I Cried, I Admit It.
Didn't it just do your hearts good to see Hartley on the ground being congratulated...shuffled around....thrown around....hugged...kissed...by his teammates? And to watch Sharper running around the dome with that beautiful trophy! They didn't focus enough on the Saints, though. They were in too big of a hurry to get back to their stupid Favre. But people, our day is here!
|
Re: I Cried, I Admit It.
I cried as well . . . vindication of 42 years of ridecule, abuse, bag heads and being the butt of too many jokes. I am so drained the morning after I feel like I was in the game myself . . . Just can't imagine how the guys feel this morning.
|
Re: I Cried, I Admit It.
First time I've ever cried myself to sleep over a good thing.

Re: I Cried, I Admit It.
Definitely cried. Fell to the ground. Enveloped by my fiancee'. Complete shock for 5 minutes. Then straight to the bar for tequilla shots! LOL!
Work is gruesome today. I feel like I could throw up at any time now, but a Superbowl berth is worth it. |
Re: I Cried, I Admit It.
i cried, but hell, i think everyone inside of that dome cried. Hell Jimmy Ott from baton rouge's 1210am sports radio sat infront of me, and he fell over his seat into our row and was on his hands and knees crying. people were crowd surfing, i teared up and then started almost sobbing thinking of all of the moments of joy in my life that were always swallowed up by the pain of the final lost during any specific season. Thoughts of all of the people including locals during the terrible years that would harass me for being a fan, and all in one moment it was like the troubles we deal with have been lifted off our shoulders forever. And I was there with my best buds. To say that I was emotional would be an understatement
