All of the Vikings drives were lengthen by penalties that should have got the vikings off the field. I'd love to see the time of possession. For the amount of time the Vikings had the ball, giving up only 28 points was pretty amazing. Seems like everytimes the Saints got the ball, they started either in the A) redzone going into score or B) inside their own 15 after a Vikings punt. It seemed like every time we got to 4th down and I got excited, I heard Joe Buck say there was a flag on the play. It's like it kept happening over and over and over again. I'd love to have seen the yardage the vikings would have put up without all the cheap penalties off of roughing the passer and crap like that. The majority of the turnovers were only giving us the ball that we should have already had to begin with.

Ummm...You do realize that both of AP's fumbles were recovered by the Vikings, right? It was Old Man River's 3 turnovers that cost you guys. Not A.P.

Not to mention he gained about 13 yards on one of those fumbles.

Not quite sure why you would think this? Peterson had no fumbles LOST! Berrian, Farve, and Harvin each had a LOST fumble. Peterson also had 3 touchdowns and 122 yards rushing.

Maybe it should be Brad Childress for his great calls in the last minute and 12 men penalty and his teams lack of discipline.

I think it's the Saints defense, as they caused all those fumbles and int's, and beat the **** out of Favre. I know you said MVP, as in player, but I guess the kicker is as good as any, since he didn't choke like many of the other kickers *cough*Kaeding* cough did.

I think my favorite teams MVP was Peyton Manning with a close second by Pierre Garcon

The play I had in mind was the Favre/Peterson handoff exchange just before the end of the 1st half. HUGE swing in momentum.

just some football knowledge......QBs are taught not to let go of the ball....to hold it tight until the running back TAKES the ball from him

i blame the handoff on favre because he let the ball go without having peterson take it from him

I'll have to go with Choupique on this one. Without the 12th man in the huddle there would have been no farve pass, no interception.

Excellent. Thats true. I'm surprised more haven't said this. I guess its because most of us old farts haven't played since HS.

Al Bundy syndrome perhaps?
