They look at this game and say we have no chance... I say we won ugly.. so what??

Colts d isnt as tough as vikes.. They dont have a good running game.. Our boys will be rewady to pull the upset...:pokechop:

Payton is Peyton, but we still match up better with the Colts than we did with the Vikes. Vegas already has us as the underdogs. I already like our chances!

Yes, the Vikings put up 500+ yards. Yes, they were in the red zone several times turning the ball over. What gets lost in all the stats and hoopla though is that it seems like half(probably more than half) of the Vikings drives were sustained by some stupid play or penalty where the Saints could have forced a punt. The penalty called for "driving" Favre to the ground was just terrible(in the accent and tone of Charles Barkley). The penalty on the reverse was terrible. When a good offense has that many opportunities, they are gonna eventually put up some numbers.

The thing that worries me most about this game was the play calling. Terry Bradshaw hit the hammer right on the head. Worst game Sean Payton has ever called. It seemed like the Saints were playing conservative or something for the majority of the game, and when they finally got something going they tried something fancy.

Payton will have them ready. We always come out on fire after a bye week ... although, so does Indy. This will be fun.

This is not the same Saints that gave Manning a record setting welcome home party in the dome a couple of years ago. I hope we've got something else for him this time. Should be fun. Superbowl XLIV - we're in.

I don't know about anyone else, but this Super Bowl matchup is my dream scenerio.

Peyton Manning is one of my favorite players, and I'm a Saints fan through and through.

I will be pulling for the Saints of course, but this matchup made my smile!

We cannot win the Super Bowl playing the kind of ball we played today. A hundred yards in penalties, Drew Brees out of sync in spite of manageable pressure, no home field advantage. But there is no doubt we can play better, and I believe in two weeks that we will. WHO DAT.

You are right TopCow. We left toooo many plays on the field last night. We can not afford to NOT make plays in Miami. Every opportunity has to be taken advantage of. When receivers are open they have to make the catch...and Brees has to make the throw. When we catch a JAddai behind the line, we have to make the tackle. When the ball hits the ground, we have to come up with it. DB's will have to turn on the ball and make plays. I hope we put it all together and raise the Lombardi in two weeks.

Dude, it might not be pretty, but we've got GRIT. Trust me, this is one team they do not want to see. They can lick their chops all the way up until the Mudslide hits them right in the face carrying all KINDS of debris.

Yeah, I personally think that we can beat the Colts... Their deffense has played well against the Jets and the Ravens... What do both have in common? They cant THROW THE ROCK.. They have mediocre QB's at best.. They haven't faced a Offense like ours.. The closet was the Patriots... They BARELY won that one.. We are a better offensive team the Pats. BEST IN THE NFL STATISTICALLY... We know what our boys can do.. If our "D" can not get caught by the big play, show payton several different looks.. and DO NOT BLITZ MAJORITY OF THE TIME LIKE THE JETS AND RAVENS. No turnovers.. We got a hell of a chance.. I really thnk we are goin to put mega points on the board....

You're right that the Colts are built to destroy teams that live and die by the blitz. The Jets are one of those teams and that's how Manning went off on us like he did in the second half.

I am unsure whom on the Colts side would think the Saints have no chance. The saints earned their appearance and have a very powerful offense. The big advantage I give my colts is experience. Alot will happen over the next two weeks and it can put a huge strain on players/coaches and such.

I just hope for no rain this time in miami unlike our last SB visit.

I was really disappointed by our offense last night. We've got to come out smoking hot and aggressive against the Colts and make the big plays that got us to this point (minus the Vikes game), or else we will have come this far for nothing. The Colts are going to be very tough to beat.

Who is "they"? Why are you putting words into the mouths of every colts fan? Geez, does this crap have to start already? Are you that insecure?

I'm sure most colts fan would agree that the saints are a great team, and deserve to be in the super bowl. Please stop generalizing as if no one in the world gives you a chance. But I should know better and realize that there is always at least 1 duffus on every message board overreacts to what 1 or 2 people say.

We were playing a fairly elite defensive team. I think we did well considering we are going to the super bowl. Try not to whine about your team when it wins. I am dissappointed in you as a fan. Howsabout them apples.

I think the Saints stack up against the Dolts very well. Let the Dolts fans think what they want, but I assure you the TEAM isn't taking us lightly.

We beat EVERY AFC TEAM they put in from of us this year. Period.

And the Colts beat every NFC team put in front of us also. They also won every game they were trying to win against anyone from any conference.

This game isn't going to be won on a message board with odd-ball stats and declarations. The teams that performs better on February 7th will take home the Lombardi.

Very true. It happens on the Colts board as well. One person will say something good about the opposition, or predict them to win, and about a dozen people will be ultra-offended about it.

As a Colts fan, I'm certainly not licking my chops over this game as a "gimmie" for the boys in blue. Quite the opposite, I'm sweating it. Sure, one could say there were some breaks along the way, but the Saints played their backsides off last night and came up big when they needed to. They overcame adversity and all the pressure of being a 1 seed underdog media also ran to the Favre show (thanks for ending that, by the way!).

I've been very impressed with the way the Saints have played this season, they are going to be a tough team to match up with, as are the Colts. This has the ear marks of a great game, and I can't wait for kickoff.

Best of luck, should be a lot of fun for us fans!

I think the reason for the confidence is because the Colts just beat the number 1 and number 2 defense to get to this point, while the Saints are ranked 26. No doubt those rankings aren't everything, the Saints defense does what it has to do to win games. I have no doubt in my mind that the Colts will score plenty of points on the Saints, but the Saints have also proven they can score on any defense. The Colts D is fast and matches up well with the Saints, but the amount of looks and weapons New Orleans has will probably be too much for the Colts to hold them to under 24 or so. I expect both teams to be scoring in the 30s, and I expect it to go down to the wire. In a 7 games series I would have more confidence in the Colts but if the Saints can get to Manning and force some turnovers it will be a tough game for the Colts to win.

Yeah, I just looked at their schedule.... NOT ONE TEAM THEY PLAYED CAN TOUCH OUR OFFENSE... They have played against good defenses but not good offensive ones... We can beat the Colts.... We will put up points... Our defense doesnt have to be great... Just better than theirs.. If the team that showed up against the Cardinals steps on the field in MIAMI.. We win... Im confident... We could have dropped 60 on the cards if we wanted to. Will it be tough... SURE.. But they are beatable... FINISH STRONG...

I'm right there with you. Before the Jets/Colts game, one of my best friends asked me who I wanted the Saints to play. I said the Colts. She said she would rather play the Jets since we had beat them once already this year, and the Colts scared her. I told her that I want THE BEST TEAM from the AFC, because if/when the Saints win, there will be no doubt that they deserved it.

I really like Peyton Manning, too. I have a ton of respect for the guy. He's one of the best QB's I've ever seen play the game and probably just as much of a student of the game as Brees is....if not more.
