Jabari Greer Article from ESPN.com

Saints' Greer shows lockdown ability

After watching the conference championship games, Scouts Inc. shares eight observations about the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts:

1. Welcome to Greer Island: The Saints have extreme confidence in their cornerbacks, and rightfully so. He is seldom mentioned, but Jabari Greer really isn't much behind Darrelle Revis and Nnamdi Asomugha on the list of the best players at that position in this entire league.

Against Sidney Rice for much of Sunday's game, Greer held the star wideout to just 43 receiving yards. In turn, Bernard Berrian got more opportunities than usual. Berrian eclipsed 100 yards, but he isn't the wideout Minnesota wants its passing game going through. Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams likes to play a lot of man coverage and has the players to pull it off, especially Greer.

very nice short article on jabari greer, he really is a unknown star, one more game to go every1, this is what ya worked from training camps to last week is all for.

Re: Jabari Greer Article from ESPN.com

Greer Isle is how it would be referred to in Louisiana.

Yet another player I am amazed a team let go.

Vilma from the Jets. Sharper from the Vikes. Greer from the Bills.

Unbelievable. How do you let players like that go?

Those teams are not in the Super bowl. Those players are.

I want to personally thank the Vikes, Jets, Bills and Chargers for the boneheaded moves they made in letting so many premier players join the
Who Dat Nation over the last few years.

It is our time. Geaux Who Dat Nation!

Well said Choup. Hopefully we keep the Greer/Porter/Jenkins combination around for quite a few years. The two young ones will continue to get better and Greer will continue to shutdown the Fitzgeralds and Rices of the NFL.

It is all about fitting into a system. They thrive under what Williams draws up.

Re: Jabari Greer Article from ESPN.com

can you imagine if we can keep our cornerback duo together for years. our D will really start to be a tough D if we keep both of them for a while. we need to get a FS, LB, and maybe a DE and we will ahve a top 10 D...no doubt

If Porter can develop into a more consistent corner, we'd one of the best starting corner duos in the NFL. Greer is one of the best kept secrets in the league... and a absolute steal salary wise.

Probably not for long ....we need to continue getting guys that are considered second tier but are on the rise. It's almost better than a draft pick since the commodity is a little better known. One of the good things now is that players will want to come here and play for a shot a the title. SP has really transformed this team from one that was difficult to attract FA talent to one that may be able to easily recruit the ones it wants.
