Come Tailgate With Me In Miami
 

Fellow Saints Fans,

I am setting up a tailgate in Miami. We are going to rent a conference room of a hotel. We may rent a bus to take us to the game from the hotel. We are going to rent a brass band to second line with us to the stadium.

We may have Abdul Da Tentmaker perform some songs. Abdul, if you are out there, we talked about this tonight. We cannot tailgate in the stadium parking lot. The NFL will not allow it.

Even if you don't have tickets, just come tailgate with us. If you were at the tailgate in Chicago for the NFC Championship game, you know how much fun we had.

i'll definitely be there tailgating, no way i can get tickets though. i'm flying across country just to tailgate though :D think anyone will have TVs outside to watch?

Here is the deal:

We cannot tailgate outside the Super Bowl. The NFL will not allow any type of tailgating at all in the parking lot.

So, we have to rent a conference room at a hotel. We will get it set up with tvs, etc.

If you like Abdul Da Tentmaker he will be there to perform songs.

If we get enough cash, after the tailgate is done, we will rent a bus to take us within a few hundred yards or so of the stadium and "Second Line" with a brass band to the stadium.

After that, if you don't have tickets, we can get the bus to take you back to the hotel and you can either watch the game there or wherever you want.


This party will be off the charts!

The hotel will require payment 5 days before the event or they will not let us book it. If you are interested, pm me for my email address so we can pay for this event up front. $20.00 per person. If we get enough people, we will refund the difference for the tailgate. I have not been able to locate a bus yet though to take us to the game. We do have a banquet room ready to be booked for the party.

We will have saints music playing every Saints song you have ever heard of.

sounds great- where are you planning to hold this tailgate?? i live in miami and it seems like there are a bunch of super bowl events on saturday down on miami beach but sunday all of the who dat fans down here need to combine forces for a great tailgate. unfortunately the stadium is a bit out of the way from the rest of the festivities...

Tailgate is now going to be within walking distance of the stadium. This way, we won't have to rent buses or worry about transportation for everyone which is too much hassle.

We will meet the band to Second Line to the stadium a couple of hundred yards from it. They will then play several favorite Saints/New Orleans songs while we Second Line, including Stand Up & Get Crunk, When the Saints Go Marching In, Do What You Wanna, etc.

I will put the address and number to the place on this thread once we firm this up which should be today or tomorrow morning.

You don't need tickets to the game to come and you can watch it on tv where we are tailgating if you like. And if you don't have tickets, we will second line early enough so that if you want to go back home or back to your hotel to watch it, you can do that instead.

I will post more details here as I get them. We have a facebook page. Go to Welcome to Facebook | Facebook and search "New Orleans Saints Super Bowl Tailgate" and click on the "become a fan" link. You can then post, upload photos, videos, and ask questions. The latest information will be put on there.

Seeing as we've waited 43 years, (in your case fewer years, in my case, 28 years) you should just fork over the cash, and fly down to New Orleans--- where you can enjoy Mardi Gras the same weekend. How many chances are you gonna get to be in this?

Well definitely come tailgate with us. The brass band alone Second Lining with us to the stadium will be worth it. But, we have more than that. . .Lot's more.

We do need to pay for all this 5 days before the event so Sunday is our deadline. $20.00 if people send a check now or $21.00 if they paypal it since paypal charges a a fee. More details on the facebook page.

We have five in our group, no tickets, but a strong will to party. We're bringing a 36' toyhauler with tailgating equipment, just in case. We'd like to check yall out. Looking forward to yall update.

My friend showed me your link on Facebook and I am glad to see it here on BlackandGold. I will be making the trip from Los Angeles to represent NOLA. I think we have a group of about 20 making the trip down there from all over the country. I am pretty positive that we will be making the payment this weekend, so I hope this get together is possible. I am pretty sure we can get louder and rowdier than those in the stadium. Who Dat!

We have the location confirmed now which is the El Palacio Sports Hotel in Miami Gardens, Florida and I put it on the facebook page. The direct link to facebook page is:

The Palacio is within walking distance of the stadium and we will Second Line with the brass band early enough so that you can go back to the Palacio and watch the game there if you like as they have a sports bar in the hotel.

The photographs you see on facebook are from Pamela Lyles and I. That was the 2006 NFC Championship Game Tailgate in Chicago.

Anywho, Y'all gotta party it up big time while you're down there. MIA won't know what hit 'em! Unfortunately, I can't afford the trip. I am planning to come down sometime next season for a home game, so I will be home sometime this year. And maybe next year I can actually make it down for Mardi Gras. It's been 21 years since I've been down there for the parades. I was just a pup last time. Now, I'll be old enough to actually enjoy it! :D

Sure. When you paypal the money, print out your receipt for the payment. We will print them out also. Just show up with whoever you paid for with the receipt and we will match it up with ours and that takes care of it.

Well unfortunately, finances are a major concern for me right now, or I would be there for sure. Any other year, I could have afforded it three times over, but leave it to happen, in my worst of financial times. I will be at the same place I've been all year, at the Grill!

ok...i live in orlando and i was already planning on going to the game to tailgate, even though i cant afford the game. who said you cant tailgate at the game, though? i was there for the gators national championship two years ago and there were a TON of gator fans who just tail-gated and didnt go to the game. i dont think its an nfl thing, either, because i had a some friends who tail-gated at the super bowl last year in tampa.

i've been saying ALL FRIGGIN year that i'm going to mia if the saints make it, i'm going for sure!!!!!!! please dont crush my dreams of partying w/ all the saints fans after we've won the sb!!!!!

The NFL will not let us tailgate at the game. This is why we rented a banquet room and we will tailgate inside.

Oh man I am so bummed that I don't get out to events like this!!

My BF really likes to see the Saints crushing other teams on their home turf but he's too lazy to plan out the trip and after looking at some of the booking sites, like this florida hotels page, I can really see why! So many options and when you factor in kids and a dog suddenly a keg and a few pizzas seems "good enough". ;)

I wonder if the hotels would offer a promo or combo price if we got together as a group? Probably not much chance when most hotels around the stadiums are full for the games?
