The "Crunk" Song

Ok, guys who were there....I haven't seen this question asked yet! Did they play the "Crunk" song when we kicked off to the Vikings Sunday??? You couldn't hear it on tv, so I was wondering. I was laughing at the Cards game at the Cards player in the endzone who could not help himself...he danced everytime it was played. I LOVE how it hypes everyone up! (Just was hoping it had the intimidation thing goin' for it against the other team). ;)

Just about after every score right before the kickoff.
Right after the score they would played When the Saints go marching in by Fats and then when the teams come out on the field for kickoff they would play Crunk.

Thanks, Budsdrinker! That's something you can't tell or see when you have to watch from home. :( I'd much rather be there dancing myself!

The dancing Cardinal was Jason Wright, Joanie. He was in our (where my wife and I were sitting - section 127) end zone for most of those kickoffs. He started the game dancing to it before every kickoff, but after went up 45-14 he just stood there through Crunk. I guess he lost the mood for some reason.

LOL, AG! You're saying as his playoff advancing hopes faded, so did his dancing skills!? ;) You could ALMOST feel sorry for him, huh? But not quiteeeeeeeeeeeee.

Yup! My wife kept pointing out after every score how his enthusiasm was slowly but surely ebbing away. It was a nice added touch.

They don't play When the Saints go Marching In in the Superdome. The song that is played after the Saints score is Second Line by Stop, Inc.

Not all the time, listen again. They mix it up and plenty of times it's Fats Dominoe When the Saints go marching in.

Did they also play "Heart Of The City".

Re: The "Crunk" Song

are you sure, Buds? I could swear they played "Second Line" every score, and then went into Crunk. It wouldnt surprise me if I missed something, because you really couldnt hear the PA that well, and you know how ridiculously loud the PA is sometimes.

Yes, Joanie, they did Crunk every score.... and also during the Drew Brees huddle-up-pump-up---"This is New Orleans Hwua Hwua Hwua" thing.

Im no rap fan, but when they play Crunk, we all become homies. I'm gonna learn the words. Then I'll know 2 rap songs. The other one goes, "Well a hip. hop.. hip hop hippety hop I say up jump tha boogie to tha bang-bang boogety beat. Now what you hear is not a test, I'm a rappin to the beat...."

remember that? embarassing, huh?

oh yeah, and Southern's band was off the charts! Wow! I never leave the stands when they play.

Yes and if you have the game taped or DVR from Sunday listen after the first TD by PT they play it. Just listened to it. If I was smart enough to download the clip I would but I just aint that computer savy.

Sad part is that no one can seem to to get the "Here we come to get you" part. They put in on the board, but most people still screw it up.

How hard is it to screw that up?????

Must be me, cause I actually knew the song when it first came out.

You chicks are just better at picking up those things than us neanderthals. Yes, that is a nod to the so called weaker sex that more than holds their own. You hold ours, too.

Haha! Maybe, or maybe my generation. That song came out in 2004, the year after I graduated high school. It was really popular in the 18 & Up clubs at that time.

Regardless of generation, it is apparent that that side of your brain simply functions better than ours. I have come to accept that fact over the years.
