Conrad Dobler Hates Brees

The truth sometimes hurts Conrad. Bad. Are you sure he wasn't calling Vikings' fans whiny old men?

This is what Brees told USA Today last January when speaking of the complaints of the retired players: "There's some guys out there that have made bad business decisions. They took their pensions early because they never went out and got a job. They've had a couple divorces and they're making payments to this place and that place. And that's why they don't have money. And they're coming to us to basically say, 'Please make up for my bad judgment.' In that case, that's not our fault as players."
Brees added that he respected retired players -- "They shaped the game for us. Because of those guys, we have an opporutnity to play this game, to make the money that we make" -- but didn't agree with their criticism of the union on the issue.

Who da heck is Conrad Dobbler, anyway? ;) Brees DOES have a point, methinks. I look at some grown kids for example. You tell them and tell them not to do certain things, but they decide to do those things anyway, and when they come back and bite them in the rearend, they want daddy or mama to bail them out....over and over again. At some point, a person has to take personal responsibility for their lives and their decisions.

if my mind serves me correctly, conrad dobler is a whiny old man, cuz he was always getting into hissy fits with bill bergey on the field. Kept whining to the refs about him all game long. Stick to what you know conrad, football doesn't need you, hardly any1 remembers you. Let brees lead the way, hes one of the smartest players in sport

You don't remember the "taste great, less filling" commercials? :D In football, he played 2 years for the Saints but is best known with the Cardinals. He was a mean SOB. Punched Mean Joe Greene if memory serves correct. I'm glad he's old now so Drew is pretty safe and doesn't have to employ McCray as a bodyguard.

Yea, that is a very good point but you'd think the dbag would at least pull
for the team he used to play for. That is a mirror into his existance perhaps? Not sure.

He does seem bitter. Thing is players back then were paid peanut shells
compared to what players get these days so maybe his bitterness is deep $eeded.

I think I saw something recently on Conrad Dobler and he is bitter because his NFL career has left him very banged up. He has had knee replacements etc... I think he was upset about after NFL compensation. Sorry for all of the I thinks I just didn't pay more attention to the interview.

And my parents first house cost $18k. A gallon of gas was once $.30. etc etc. Conrad's finances aren't of any concern to anyone except Conrad. One thing I can't stand is a sense of entitlement.

Conrad is not the guy retired players want as their spokesman. He's too
emotional. He may have some valid points, but they get lost among the
angry words.
