Sean Payton's gift to Greg Williams Today
Per Jay Glazer twitter account:
brunch 2day, S Payton sent G Williams jar of peanut butter, crackers, & a glass of sand to keep his mouth shut at Media Day. team cracked up 14 minutes ago from txt |
Re: Sean Payton's gift to Greg Williams Today
Hilarious. What is up with the sand though?

Re: Sean Payton's gift to Greg Williams Today
awesome. I know we all loved the GW quotes, but i think SP is right with his jabs. You don't give Indy or PM locker room material.
ALSO, it pretty much puts the refs on high alert for every hit we make. |

Re: Sean Payton's gift to Greg Williams Today
Haha! That's cute! I agree, his words were taken out of context, but yes, don't give the other team bulletin board material.

Re: Sean Payton's gift to Greg Williams Today
He could bury his head in the jar of sand and not say anything to the media. ;)

New Orleans Saints' Gregg Williams makes no apologies
By Mike Triplett, The Times-Picayune
February 02, 2010, 2:15PM MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. - New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams was a hit at Super Bowl XLIV media day, as expected -- despite Coach Sean Payton's best efforts to keep him quiet. http://media.nola.com/saints_impact/...5bb_medium.jpgThe Associated PressNew Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg WilliamsPayton sent a waiter over to Williams earlier Tuesday morning with a tray of peanut butter, saltines and sand, hoping to keep his colorful and feisty coordinator from providing the Indianapolis Colts with any more bulletin board material. Williams grabbed national attention during a slow news week last week for telling a Nashville radio station that his defense would hit Colts quarterback Peyton Manning with some "remember me" shots, Williams explained that he was just having fun with a former player on the radio - former Tennessee Titans hard-hitting safety Blaine Bishop, whom Williams said coined the phrase "remember me" shots. He said he was surpised his comments got as much attention as they did, but he made no apologies for them, saying he wants his defense to play with that mentality and make opposing quarterbacks as uncomfortable as possible. "I don't know what I should've said. Maybe I should've blown him kisses or sent him a Hallmark Valentine's card," Williams joked. "But I don't think that would have sent the right message to our defense." I agree. No apologies. I think this was all smokescreen anyway. A way to get into Mannings head. We will see.

Re: New Orleans Saints' Gregg Williams makes no apologies
I have one word for Manning.
Duck. |
