how does he win this 2 years in a row and still not have a league MVP?
he beats out peyton manning at the only thing peyton manning does, leads his team to the super bowl, breaks his team down at the beginning of every game and practice is the unquestioned leader of the team on and off the field.....is always the first one to practice and sees the field better than anyone in the game despite his short stature yet manning won MVP yet again when he was probably ranked 3rd the entire year behind brees and favre peyton is an all time great.....but brees was better this season and last season.....its alright to admit that someone is better during a certain season |

I agree! Brees had better years this year and last year. If I recall (and correct me if I'm wrong) he threw for more yards than Peyton last year, he threw more TD passes this year and had less interceptions than Peyton this year. A friend of mine told me the reason he wasn't considered for MVP last year, even though he threw for over 5,000 yards, was because he didn't make the playoffs. Apparently that affects how the AP votes. I think it's bullsh*t, but the MVP voting is based on popularity. It sucks!
