How do the Saints faithful feel about the Bucaneers Curse

That is that NO team, that has EVER lost to the Bucs in the regular season, has won the SuperBowl.

Don't call me a troll. I'm just askin'.

No team, that lost their final three regular season games, has ever even BEEN to a Superbowl, and well, here we are. As a Saint, I can tell you bro, we've been through every hex, voodoo curse, and "never happened before". Nothing like that bothers me at all. We have bucked all the trends this year, and I say let's keep it up.

Doesn't mean anything to me either...

The Colts have never won a superbowl while wearing blue jerseys.

I've never farted in a bathtub. I take showers.

That has no relevance either. Perhaps some of the voudou
spells being cast will have some impact but nothing in this thread
amounts to much on the field.

According to Stevie Wonder,

Very superstitious, writing's on the wall
Very superstitious, ladders bout' to fall
Thirteen month old baby, broke the lookin' glass
Seven years of bad luck, the good things in your past

When you believe in things that you don't understand
Then you suffer
Superstition ain't the way

Very superstitious, wash your face and hands
Rid me of the problem, do all that you can
Keep me in a daydream, keep me goin' strong
You don't wanna save me, sad is my song

When you believe in things that you don't understand
Then you suffer
Superstition ain't the way, yeh, yeh

Very superstitious, nothin' more to say
Very superstitious, the devil's on his way
Thirteen month old baby, broke the lookin' glass
Seven years of bad luck, good things in your past

When you believe in things that you don't understand
Then you suffer
Superstition ain't the way, no, no, no

Now let me see. Curse, Superstition, .....
Ah! I know. Hey, SP. Yes, please come here. What do you reckon?

Quote:

"Is that a trend or is that a statistic. The Saints have never won a Super Bowl. That’s a statistic. It’s a statistic not a trend. I hear what you’re saying. Trend is something that's happened lately and I think that’s a number that’s just matter of fact. Certainly we understand the importance of getting on this second season. There’s so many of these numbers we’ve heard them all year long. We heard it at eight wins. We heard it at nine wins. We heard it at ten wins. Then all of a sudden we were paying closer attention to how we beat Washington and Atlanta, not realizing we had to come back and beat the Jets. We had to come back and beat a Carolina team. That’s the nature of our game. We’ll be ready for all the trends."New Orleans Saints Head Coach Sean Payton, Monday, January 4, 2010

No team has ever won the Super Bowl with the worst ranked rushing attack.

Let's put an end to this curse and the Madden Curse in one go.

Look at it this way:

No matter who wins, a curse or two is broken.

Yeah but Buc Fans wont let it go, they will have something to lick their chops over, plus they'll also have their tongue in cheap post about how they're the only one's still with a Championship Trophy while the rest of the NFC south is still dreaming..
Thank god we're built to be a winner for a much longer time than the Buc's were after the 2001 era.
Man GO SAINTS!

Back to The Tampa Curse we have the antecdote... Only team to ever beat a super bowl champion twice in their super bowl year Saints over Bucs twice in 2000. We can do this forever Saints fans have seen it all well almost we will see thee rest Sunday night:
Saints 37
Colts 27

WHo Dat Beo#$%

You beat me to it but also the Bucs curse doesn't apply to the Saints because we gave them their first win.

The Cowboys blessing trumps the Bucs curse. Lose to the Cowboys, win the Superbowl (Giants, Colts...)

You must mean 2002 when the Saints beat Tampa twice in the new NFC South. Tampa was not in the same division as the Saints in 2000, Tampa was still in the then Central while the Saints were in the West.

Re: How do the Saints faithful feel about the Bucaneers Curse

That statement "no team has won the superbowl after losing to the Bucs in the same season" is only true causally for the Bucs over the Raiders in Super Bowl 37. Other than that, it is entirely coincidence.

If one has nothing to add, usually one comes up with ridiculous statistical anomalies that have no real relationship to each other save that they exist simultaneously.

Example:

No team from Cleveland won an NFL championship game while Hitler was alive. Yet, the minute he dies, they win.

Re: How do the Saints faithful feel about the Bucaneers Curse

We've already boken so many streaks, never been done befores, and 0- stats this season so I don't put any stock in it.

Besides, no team that I am aware of (besides the Saints) has ever beaten the eventual Super Bowl champion (Bucs 2002) twice in a season, so I think that negates any Tampa curse...
