Dwight Freeney will play in the Super Bowl
 

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Dwight Freeney will play in the Super Bowl barring any setbacks in pregame warm-ups.
Freeney will test the ankle before the game for the first time in two weeks. It seems likely that he'll suit up, but the Colts' best pass rusher will be limited to a third-down role in obvious passing situations. Reliable veteran Raheem Brock will play the majority of the snaps.

I liked the analysis I saw yesterday. Simply put run right at him and see how he reacts.

The Saints really didn't expect Ware to play. They were saying on Monday and Tuesday that they expected to see Freeney and I'm sure that they game planned for each of the following scenarios: Freeney, Brock, Mathis over Bushrod.

I can't believe what you all are saying!! That's dirty!!

I say we place him two yards in the backfield at the snap so he doesn't have to run too far to sack Brees. Hopefully he'll be OK and not feel any pain on his poor little ankle.

Didn't you learn anything from whiny Vikings fans, this has to be a kinder gentler NFL...

This is no surprise, what would be nice is when he got on the field run a hurry up offense and not allow him to get off forcing them to take a time out or get penalized for offsides.

Unfortunately, that's just wishful thinking.

When the Saints win tomorrow, there will be talk about how they were lucky, or how if Freeney were 100% it would have been different, or that the refs influenced the game.

Just like a couple of weeks ago when they were saying that if the Vikings hadn't turned the ball over... For 5 of the 6 fumbles and both interceptions it was because the Vikings were being stripped, or being smacked stupid. But that wasn't the reason they turned the ball over.

Run Mike Bell at him all day...I say Freeny is not playing. If the WORD ..."TORN" in his injury discription is true ...he is not playing.

I hope the refs don't influence the game like they did two weeks ago! The missed obvious personal foul on Favre, which the head of officiating admited, which would have nullified the INT, and the horrible calls in overtime (PI when he doesn't get touched)! I'm glad it went that way, as the Colts will have a much easier time with the Saints than they would have had with the Vikings.

I think it will be a PI called on the Saints DB's that will have you all crying your eyes out. You know Manning always gets the call, right? Just like he gets the MVP over Brees.:-D And when Freeney strips the ball from Brees in his limited playing time you will all cry that this thread happened (Freeney will play). And I don't think you will "force" 5 turnovers on the Colts! How do you actually get 5 turnovers and still only win by 3 in OT with such a great offense?? :confused: If you get 5 turnovers on the Colts you might be able to pull this game out also. Good luck.
