What Now?
 

We Saints fans are so accustomed to looking forward to next year with hope of better things. Now that we finally got everything we ever wanted, what comes next (after the party I mean)?

I'm happy of course but now I feel like I don't know what to do as a fan.

For a change, I'm positively thrilled to be sitting at the very end of round 1 waiting to see which great value player is there at #32.

I'm also excited that we are likely to be a destination team for a lot of quality free agents this off season. Not saying we will have our pick of available players, but I think worthwhile players will be willing to consider coming to play for a team with the pieces in place to repeat.

I'm excited about us working out the deal that keeps Drew Brees with the Saints until he wants to retire.

This is an entirely different type of off season. I'm going to enjoy every bit of it.

The offseason will be short because the CHAMPIONS play the first game!

i think our whole offensive line are free agents ,we need to find a way to keep as much of this core together thats one thing we need to do

Just like after the LSU tigers 2 championships. But, instead of looking and who they signed out of high school I will be looking at FA and the draft.

I hope we keep Bush, hes a really valuable player. It gets yards in chunks and it would have been really tough to win without him. Hope Loomis realizes this.

Also looking forward to the draft, I think we have potential to have a top 10 maybe even 5 defense with a couple of players in key positions.

It starts all over again. That's the great thing about sport. Each year starts with new promise.

Just enjoy it for now. You'll know what to do next.

Lets just soak it in. I want more rings. But if it never happens again we can always say we got this one. What a great season!!!!!!!!!

We line'em up and do it again. We won in Miami, then won the Superbowl in Miami. Lets win in Dallas, and then take #45 in Dallas 364 days from now.

In the ESPN Post-game, Steve Young said (paraphrasing here) that we were a young team, and weren't going to break up this year. He also said that Brees could have as much as 10 more years left in him, that we had the makings of a team that's going to be on the big stage for awhile.
