So, what do you know about AllStar Records - a publishing barn of sorts back in the 50's located primarily in Downtown Houston. Gramps had 4 sides and hit Cashbox with "Spot On My Heart" and "You're Free". Sounded like Web Pierce LOL.

I've got the records, but I'd love to know more about what happened to that label. Can you shed any light?

Hmmm man im gonna look into that...you know at one time Houston had more records coming out of it than any city in the U.S...I dont know what happened...there was some recordings done here...man that Gibby you got is worth some serious cake..

Yessir. It's nice, and I'm proud to own it for obvious reasons. I've got two acoustics I play with, a Washburn and a Takamine. I don't pull the Gibson out too much.

I've found it hard to find out much about AllStar. The original guy died in Arkansas a few years back, but some name musicians recorded there at times.
