I'd be happy to see Deuce get a ring. He was the face of the franchise for quite awhile and was on the roster this year.

I don't get this poll either. As far as I know, anyone that was signed to the team during the season, should be getting a ring. Other than Deuce, who was also signed by the way, no one should get a ring. That's ridiculous. Should we give to Hank Stram too? I don't think so.

I'm with Danno on this. If you never won one with previous teams, then you were a spectator like the rest of us. I am shocked that no one mentioned Ricky Jackson however. At least he was on the field that day!

i was gonna say that he could be the kid that runs acrossed the field and grabs the Tee after every kickoff....but then i remembered we fired the last dog to do that....and idk if he could do it as well as the last dog we had

no..carney should get 1 for being a kicking consultant..the point of this was for emotional favorites..i only through in JD for a goof..I like MM he played well for us when he was here..Mike Karney provided us with some classic moments..(the dallas game in 06 comes to mind)

I haven't read all the posts on this thread, so this may have already been said, however the first person that came to my mind that has done more for this team, scoring wise, is Morton Andersen. He is the Saints all time leading scorer, or at least he was before this season. I don't know where he stands now. For thirteen years he gave everything he had to this team. If he doesn't deserve a ring, he at least deserves an honorable mention.

If him, well, Tony Galbreth, Chuck Muncie, George Rodgers, Ricky Jackson, Sam Mills estate, where does the list end.

John Mecom
He was the original onwer of the team and only other owner .
He did sell to Benson. Others wanted and the money ,but Benson had the money...was native New Orleanian. I know Mecom sold tothe highest offer, but Mecom could have just moved his toy team or something selfish.
Mecom did wish N.O. and Saints well during the NFC champ. and SB .
He has a huge scrapbook of the Saints early years and I guess other major important legal/finanical papers that are personally his.
Google him.
The interview shows him with his huge books.

I know the man sold to the person paying the most.

Why not rag on Richard Todd!! Remember him.
Brooks was one of many. His record was so-so.
Bobby Hebert had a great def line and Hebert was so-so.
Umm, Jake Delhomme was a Cinderella story and really did not want to be here. Think about. Would you have wanted to be here if you were Delhomme? If he had stayed and Brooks was cut, Saints would have been the same.
LA boy Delomme had that team and coaching staff over there in Carolina Panthers.

Archie was Saints first qb, so he gets a pass.

Really, AaronBrooks was not great qb material, but so were all of those others. Why dog on him without the others I mentioned.

Really, 44 yrs., Brees is the first great materioalqb the Saints have had.
I am a big believer, that a qb is only one part. Brees is part of a good coaching team, and def.line, and he has some good recievers, etc. to catch those passes.

This Saints team of Payton's and his staff starting back to their first first,is the best the Saints has had. All areas are covered.

Being honest here, that is all.
This Saints who went to SB and won under Payton and staff, were just the right mix at the right time.
Personally and professionally, they all seem to gell in no cockiness, community service, and work ehtnic about practice and film review

Why is Jason David even on this list? That dude was always getting burnt like a piece of toast. Maybe a couple of the old Dome Patrol guys? I would agree with Karney also, still sorry we let him go.
