I am depressed,can't go to parade
 

I am living in Texas this year and I just can't do a turnaround and drive by myself to go to the parade tomorrow.
Last year I was living in Met., and I wish I would have stayed for this year.

And no, I did not leave. I could not find anyone who wanted to make the drive for a turnaround and everyone is working.
I will have on WDSU online at 3:00 and I will watch the NFL Network .
I keep telling myself, it is ok because tonight I going to sit back, quiet, no stress like Sunday...no overeating like Sunday due to anxiousness, and just watch this game.

Old Maid you want something to sing the blues about. In DC we have 30 inches of snow no power no TV for Sundays game. Been a Saint fan for over 30 years and had to drive thru the Blizzard to a sandwich shop ten miles away to watch the game. But "Who Dat Who Won"

I wanna move back. It's too f***in cold up here. And it's too much of a "hicktown" where I live, especially since the stock show is in town this week. I miss NOLA. :rolleyes:

breesfan, I like N.O. as a party place. I like the fun stuff.
I never wanted to live there my whole, going back 25 yrs ago after high school.

I still have my gutted house. I still voted-Go Landrieu. I still have family and friends there .I still care. I want N.O to be it. Be the place. Be like it should be.
I do care.
My neighborhood is coming back slowly. I have to do something with it because it cannot stand there as others are slowly rebuilding. I DO care. I wish I could pick up gutted home and throw it in Bucktown, Met. between Lakeside and Canal Blvd. I just always knew my parents' home was going to be there, you know, free hotel.
A nice home, once anyway,middle class, surburban neighborhood(Gentilly area), cannot afford to give the place away (got offers for 10-25,00) and cannot afford to fix it.

Decision, heartache, and I know, I am ONE of HUNDREDS of thousands.

If I had a place to stay of my own, I would driven that 5 hour drive on Sunday night!!!


It is a tug-of-war at my heart. I like where I am living in Texas I can really afford to buy a new home.
I work for the govt. I moved back last year and moved here for this year. I should have stayed just one more year,this year.
Well, who knew about the Saints and I did not some of my things here did work just like I had planned.

Rail, I do sympathize for you. NO POWER on SUNDAY!! OMG!!!!
I am so so so glad you at least got to see the game...not at home on yourcomfy sofa, with freinds, etc.

Saints FANS, we wish we were there if we had a house to camp in!

Somebody, start a thread about SAINTS FANS-What crazy clothes you wore to games. How we saw the games this year? What extreme did you have to go to to see the games? I had to go to a sports /pizza restaurant every week . Saints are not in Dallas/Texans division and are not shown in this market.

Well, you just found a 100 new friends. Woodrows, if you really dont know, has been the hangout of Saints fans in the Houston area. Its on chimney rock, off 59S.

Dont get me wrong, all sportsbars in Houston have good Saints followings, but Woodrows is probably the biggest. We were about 250 strong, and they give us the entire upstairs --- all tv's Saints.... Our club, the Hou-Dats, has been going there since we picked them in '06.

Anyway, me and Primadox, SuperDome, our new friends like Gumbeau & WifeUnit, and several posters here on B&G hang out together, even in the offseason. We're trying to have a post-Super-Bowl Mardi Gras get-together at my house next week. Will have Video of the NFC Title Game, and the SB. Men are wearing dresses.

Check the "Houston Saints Fans Unite" thread to keep up with our goings on. I'm Skymike, and I dont know any strangers wearing black and gold. You're in.

yes, chimney rock is very near galleria... in fact I live 5 min. (galleria) from woodrows.... check this board often, especially the Houston Saints Fans Unite thread, and we'll tell you everything going on. Like I said, we meet even in the offseason, and sometimes just to shoot the crap...
