I read some of the comments below the article. He replied to several of the tongue-lashings he received, and I don't believe he meant for it to be satirical at all. He stands by his belief in his replies. He, sir, is an idiot.

And did you guys notice, that the only guy who agreed with him, WAS A PANTHERS FAN! Pantie fan also said that we are dirty tacklers, and that we didn't "play fair". I thought I was going to laugh to death after that.

I'm really at a loss for words.

I find a writer who is the fan of a Super Bowl losing team that tries to write an article based on an excuse/invented "gentleman's rule" two days after his team loses in the SB, and that writing is published as (what appears) more than a blog or forum post, really diminishes the credibility of Bleacher Report as a whole.

It's unprofessional, unsportsmanlike and embarrassing for Colts fans who are nice and respectful people like other fans. It hurts credibility of journalism too. I could go on....

I take my words back now, he's only written 2 articles and there's no way to know what qualifies someone to author something there. I'm giving the kid a break. Good luck to him.

I put a response on there, under John Smith. I asked him about the Peyton play, in the dome at the end of the first half, I don't remember what year it was. When they got down to the one yard line, and Manning pretended to spike the ball. Of course you guys remember, he didn't spike it, he held on to it, and ran in for a td. Except he did such a good job on the fake, that the refs blew the play dead, and the clock ran out. Would that be considered a dirty play? He agreed that it would. I don't what this guy is smoking.
