Saints Win Super Bowl, but Onside Kick Was Dirty Pool
You may think you know an absolute idiot. I have found the biggest idiot in the Galaxy!
His name is: Steve Montana Quote:

Re: Saints Win Super Bowl, but Onside Kick Was Dirty Pool
This has to be a joke. Or maybe this guy is trying to attract attention to himself. But this is laughable and embarrassing for him and Bleacher Report for even giving credence to this crap.
As the 96% "no" rating in the poll indicates Mr. Montana may want to brush up the ole resume. Quote:

Re: Saints Win Super Bowl, but Onside Kick Was Dirty Pool
This is ridiculous! Change the rules everytime someone LOSES? That makes it every year!

Re: Saints Win Super Bowl, but Onside Kick Was Dirty Pool
It's guys like these that make me smile when I hear the name of the play...ambush. Never saw it coming. Oh, and it's a gentleman's agreement for the losing quarterback to shake the winning quaterback's hand after a loss...we didn't see that one either.

Re: Saints Win Super Bowl, but Onside Kick Was Dirty Pool
What ? What ever it takes to win the game.
|
Re: Saints Win Super Bowl, but Onside Kick Was Dirty Pool
I am stunned. That is so pathetic. I say this as a complement guys. That article could only have been written by someone who does not know American Football and, frankly, not American.

Re: Saints Win Super Bowl, but Onside Kick Was Dirty Pool
"gentleman's rule" ....hahahahaha.....that is awesome.

I know Scott F. Personally lol he was typing that when he told be about the article.. lol How about no kickoffs at all. Spot the ball on the 20 and go from there. Or maybe even a "jump ball" at the 50? Any one who uses the phrase "Gentleman's rule" and football in the same sentence is obviously a pianist. |
Re: Saints Win Super Bowl, but Onside Kick Was Dirty Pool
I don't know what took bigger juevos...Paytons decision to do the onside kick or this guy's decision to hit the "submit" button. Wow...a poorly written article that was obviously based on the frustration from the loss. I understand being frustrated, but my God, if you're going to write an article with your own opinions in it, at least have the intelligence to have some solid points to back it up. That was horrible.

Re: Saints Win Super Bowl, but Onside Kick Was Dirty Pool
the motto i live by.....
"WIN IF YOU CAN, LOSE IF YOU MUST, BUT ALWAYS CHEAT" it just goes along with the rest of our team being dirty we cant hit the other team too hard, we cant onside kick, and we definitly cant even look at the QB with an angry eye. thats sacreligious |

Wow! Way to take a dump on our happy cloud, media. LAME!

Re: Saints Win Super Bowl, but Onside Kick Was Dirty Pool
By this logic, why even kick? Just give the ball to the other team at the 20 and be done. What a *$&%. This is the dumbest &$*#& *#&$# I've ever read...or at least it's close. (#(*&@#$^*#(@. STUUUUUUUPIIIIDDDDD

What an embarrassing betrayal of emotions over good sense. :bs:

Re: Saints Win Super Bowl, but Onside Kick Was Dirty Pool
This guy is an embarrassment, not just to football, but to sports in general. The guy should be dragged out into the streets and beaten repeatedly with his his computer keyboard. His article was so ridiculous I am actually embarrassed for his mamma.
Why stop there? Im sure he thought it was bush league that Tracy Porter jumped Reggie Waynes route on the game clinching INT. Isnt there a gentlemans rule that you should just let the guy catch the ball and then try to tackle him? |
Re: Saints Win Super Bowl, but Onside Kick Was Dirty Pool
hahahahahahahahahahaha!
Now, I have heard it all. |
Re: Saints Win Super Bowl, but Onside Kick Was Dirty Pool
Apparently Andy Kaufman is still alive....
(younguns, Andy Kaufman was a ?comedian? performance artist? weird guy who used bizarre stunts with a straight face to shock his audience. He once had an elderly woman fake a heart attack on stage in the name of his freakshow humor. One bright note: His Elvis impersonation was phenominal, and probably the one truly humorous thing he did.) This has to be an attention stunt. |

Re: Saints Win Super Bowl, but Onside Kick Was Dirty Pool
Wow! What a moron! I guess he thought it was unfair for Tracy Porter to return his interception for a touchdown because of the "Gentleman's Rule" that only the offense scores :/

Re: Saints Win Super Bowl, but Onside Kick Was Dirty Pool
I will restate what I said in this thread earlier. This isn't journalism. This article hurts the credibility of Bleacher Report. Sorry. Biggest "sour grapes" article I've ever read.

Re: Saints Win Super Bowl, but Onside Kick Was Dirty Pool
It was a great risk to chance an onsides kick? Why don't write it wasn't fair that there were too many Saints fans in attendence ....This writer would have a better or more humorus angle on his story.
This is an attention article ..to get people to read it. Shock value. It reminds me of the article written by the Music magazine called "BLENDER" They wrote an article called 100 worst music acts of all time ... and put people like Celine Dion,Emerson Lake and Palmer,Kansas etc...on it just to get people stirred up and read the column. The bravest move in Superbowl history was just that. WHO DAT WORLD CHAMPS I LOVE THE WORLD AGAIN!!!!!! |
