Drew Brees on Madden '11 cover rumors (MEGA MERGE)
 

ESPN just reported that Reggie Wayne, Jared Allen and Drew Brees are all nominees for next year's Madden cover and fans get the chance to vote for who they want.

This is all I could find in regards to it. If anyone can find something better, feel free to post it!

This sucks! Everyone knows about the dreaded Madden curse! I don't want that same fate to happen to Drew Brees. I say, we bombard the polls and vote for JA to win that spot! :D

Breesfan27 - what a dilemma for you, huh? I mean on one hand you have "the curse", but on the other is YOUR BOY immortalized forever on the Madden Cover.... Not sure if you own a gaming system, but I could totally see you buying one, then the game (or two) and playing as Drew Brees until 4am every night!

As soon as I read this, I was thinking the same exact thing about putting Jared Allen on the cover. Keep Brees away from the cover of Madden!!!

Haha! That's what the boyfriend said. And yes, I have every Madden from '06 to present. Love the 360!

But if that means the possibility of Brees being on the cover, I'd rather vote for Jared Allen. I don't want anything happening to my precious man! HA! ;)

D_it_up definitely wins the prize for that forehead. So what if he stole it. That thing is like target practice. Saints ought to post it in the locker room. Forward that thing to Sean Payton and Greg Williams.

ill got vote everyday for jared allen. why brees? why not chris johnson, or the MVP of the league peyton manning. what makes them choose brees to be an automatic canidate. noone ever puts him ahead of p manning, except for when they are considering the madden cover. wtf?

drew has probably never been offered the madden cover before

drew doesnt seem like the superstitious type......he seems like he believes in making his own destiny

you can see it in the way he conducts himself in the huddle before games and the way he moves the ball and controls the game in regulation

IMO i think drew would see it as an honor

i for one believe in the madden curse and i hope drew isnt on it.....but either way i still print off a saints cover off the internet every year and replace whoever is on it anyway

ive been trying to change my superstitious ways. for the most part i have. but if i was a player, i wouldnt even take the chance on it. what good can come from it? everyone already knows who he(drew brees) is. and hes about to be making sick money. so i dont see whats the point

VOTE for Jared! DO NOT PUT BREES ON THAT COVER FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! IF YOU LOVE DREW BREES YOU'D VOTE FOR ANYONE BUT HIM.. Since Reggie Wayne is a New Orleans Native, i wouldn't do that to him either.

Saints = CurseBusters!! Had any Saints player been on the Madden cover earlier it would have an opposite effect. After all, look at what we had to endure in first 40+ years.

I'd love to see Drew on the cover of Madden and would happily buy the game. Ain't no jinxes involved and I'll bet that Drew would love to be on the cover too. I would hate for all y'all to be disappointed but I would personally be proud of it.
