Re: Chris Reis
I remember being at the bottom of a scrum. I was lying right next to the guy with the ball. As they start unpiling people, I feel his muscles relax and I took that opportunity to slip my hand underneath him. I felt the ball, gave a big tug, and out it came. When they finally got unpiled, I had the ball, and I noticed the other guy pleading his case as I ran off the field with the ref indicating that we, the good guys, had the ball.

Definitley an unsung hero!

Re: Chris Reis
i thought jonathan casillas was credited with the recovery.....either way its funny to hear chris reis explain how the pile went about
he talks about his arm cramping up and still hanging on for dear life |
Re: Chris Reis
Saint LB, who were you playing for then?
|
Re: Chris Reis
Canton's right Reis didn't recover the ball. The ball ended up behind is legs, he barley had it in is hand while it was on the ground as Baskett and Johnathan dove into the pile and basically fought for the ball in the pile. If he didn't jump in the mix when he did it would have been Colts ball.
The Stats do have Reis with the recovery but there is no way he managed to get the ball. They need to interview Johnathan. |
Re: Chris Reis
Eu,
per a write up on it on espn, Reis came up with it but lost it during the mix and recovered it with the help of Casillas. Who knows if that's how it went down but that's what they reported. |
Re: Chris Reis
I agree with Euph, I wanta hear Casillas tell his version of what happened in the scrum pile.
