I'm not sure if there was a thread on this subject, but I thought I would bring it up and maybe get your input on this. First off, I'm cool with the team's currents unis (I hated the black pants with the solid gold stripe from '99. They were Muh'Fugly!!) I went on Google just for the jerseys and I came across this. They are good, but the logo on the helmet (gold Fleur on gold background) is clashing and bad for the visual. The white pants is one thing I haven't seen the team in since '85. Black pants with this uni? Don't know. I'm not really sold on the font for the "New Orleans Saints" logo. I would much rather have the name use with the current 'solemnity' font.

I wish the black helmets would have lasted longer. I think they'd be cool to whip out every once in a while.

I like the throwback uniforms. I think we should bust those out for a week! Just my opinion...

We could go for a different Number Font..
Something a lil Gothic or with sharp edges would be cool, several teams have changed the font letters on their Jersey's to stand out a bit, i plain ol'e standard font is no fun, Since New Orleans is a Party (ANTI-Plain) City it shouldn't have anything boring or plain on the Jerseys.

I wouldn't change a thing at this point. The one thing that sticks in my mind though is that Drew likes the white jerseys. I'm thinking the way he scans the field in less than two seconds makes it easy for him to pin his target.

And one other thing...

if we are going to let wide receivers wear numbers in the teens, why can't Reggie wear No. 5?!?

I'm mean the extra number seems to be slowin 'em down, you know...

And we got 8 mil tied into him this season...

Like the combo of gold jersey and white pants. That would be sweet. Also coming out in all white some time.

Based on my research (a la Madden 06/07 Superstar mode :mrgreen: ) WRs can be between 11 and 19 and then from 81 to 89.

From what I understand Drew likes the white top better because it's easier to find the receivers. I'm a big fan of the gold pants and black top. The Superbowl uniforms look clean with the white top but the black looks more intimidating to me. jmo I think the best thing about our uniforms is the gold helmet with black Fleur-De-Lis. It's beautiful.

Recievers usually confined to wearing 80-numbers, but when you share it with the tight ends, plus retiring players' numbers, it's been pretty limited. Whereas players, position-wise, have more of a choice.

EXAMPLE (Modern-era):
QBs/PKs/Punters = #0 - 19
RBs/DBs = #20 - 49
WRs (prior to 1996)/TEs (prior to 1979) = #80 - 89;
Currently, WRs #10 - 19, 80 - 89/TEs #40 - 49, 80 - 89 (First WR to wear a teen-number was Keyshawn Johnson #19 Jets, Todd Christiansen, Raiders, probably wore a 40-number jersey (#46) first.
OL = #50 - 79
DL = #50 - 79, 90 - 99 (#00 I believe is still available, yet unused)
LBs = #50 - 59, 90 - 99 (Last LB to wear a 70-number jersey was Karl Mecklenberg #77 Denver Broncos)
