Re: Arnoux
from watching stanley arnoux at wake forest the things i picked up were, he has excellent speed to get to the edge (which we really need) and he also has great hands and made alot of picks. i think we wait to see what stanley brings to the table, i think we go for a DE.

Re: Arnoux
Arnoux's injury was unfortunate.
No one's job is guaranteed, regardless of draft pick. To me our most pressing issue is DT, followed by OLB. With only 4 picks this year in the draft, things will get interesting. A lot weighing on the CBA. |

Re: Arnoux
the great thing i noticed about watching highlights of aaron curry was these 2 ballhawks that were split seconds behind curry
2 beasts that made just as many plays in curry's own highlights 2 studs that could fly to the ball, make the play without being in the end result....such as getting off a block, covering the main WR or getting to the QB just before the ball gets out, etc those 2 studs got drafted out of wake forest 2 picks away from each other and are going to play for the saints 2nd super bowl next season chip vaugn and stanley arnoux both are very fast, i think both of them could play safety...arnoux is a little undersized for LB but he is fast as **** and he could easily play both(not as the same time of course) |

Re: Arnoux
I was hearing really good things about the Wake Forest duo when they both went down early. The good news is they should understand the system and be able to slide in during training camp. I was surprised to hear the mock draft had only three defensive picks for the Saints. I would have thought that defense would get the stronger draft.

first off.....dumervil is a freak athlete.....i like to think that arnoux has that same athleticism but it just doesnt come around that often secondly, dumervil is a 3-4 pass rushing OLB/DE....he is not a true OLB like arnoux would have to be being good at 1 thing, like dumervil, merriman, and jason taylor are is very different than being good at several things like our OLBs have to be shanle is a better overall OLB than dumervil is and that would probably annoy a lot of broncos fans but its the truth |

Re: Arnoux
I like DT, with the first pick. I did some research on Jared Odrick, out of Penn State, because someone else mentioned him earlier, and if he falls that far, I could definately see this guy coming in, and making an instant impact at DT. This guy is big enough to play DE as well. Ala, Willie Whitehead, except much bigger.

Re: Arnoux
Arnoux is a really good WLB prospect and a special teams demon. He said he gained about 10 to 15 pounds at Wake to play MLB because of a certain stud OLB they had (Aaron Curry).
He dropped his weight a bit and ran a faster than expected 40. Losing that weight also probably helps his lateral quickness too. But thats something we won't know until we see him in games. I know his coach thought he was every bit as good as Aaron Curry. Measuring 6-0 is probably why he wasn't a higher pick. If nothing else, he'll be a special teams demon, pun intended. Stanley Arnoux (ILB) Height: 6'0" Weight: 232 College: Wake Forest Combine Results: 40 Yard Dash : 4.61 seconds Bench Press : 19.0 reps Vertical Jump : 31.5 inches Broad Jump : 121.0 inches 3 Cone Drill : 7.22 seconds |
