New Orleans Saints - Saints Sign Four Players to Roster

how is this possible? i thought we werent allowed to sign anyone

i didnt think anything could happen until free agency officially started

i know these guys arent going to do anything but does anybody know how we are allowed to do this?

They weren't free agents. They were just basically activated from the practice squad.

It is not a normal year for signing players.

It makes me wonder what the benefit of signing them now could be? I don't remember us doing this before.

With all the restrictions on free-agent signings we have because we won the Superbowl, its probably wise to get as many guys under contract as allowed heading into 2010.

Some say thats why Loomis was so quick to IR so many players, essentially locking them up for 2010.

I'm not sure these 4 fit that reasoning or not, since they didn't actually belong to other clubs.

This whole CBA crap has me confused as hell. But as someone else said, I think Loomis knows what he's doing, because...
