To my brothers, and sisters.....
 

I'm sure none of you know this, but I have been a writer since I was in my early teens. I wanted to write something special to commemorate this occasion, and I finally got done with it. I hope you like it. If not, please just understand the underlying intent.....



A small thing to most,
Universal to few,
A lifetime of hope,
And prayers of what's due,
What will it feel like,
To reach this dream?
To conquer this mountain,
and crown ourselves kings,
These moments defined,
by the greatness of others,
All frozen in time,
It's forever my brothers,
The day is now ours,
It is written in stone,
Till the end we all stand,
and never alone,
We are the champions,
Thirty two is now one,
A sun that will never set,
Our life's hope now is done,
We are the tested,
The humble, the pride,
Bound in this victory,
All SAINTS till we die......


This is for all the underdogs... This is for everyone that ever said that dreams can't come true..... Every dog may not get his day..... But proof that every dog gets his due.....

I DVR'd the NFL presents last night, and I am watching it for the fifth time in a row! I can't get enough of this.....

Nice. The last time I was motivated to write a poem, the circumstances were somewhat different. It was a couple of seasons past our first playoff victory...somewhere during the 2003 season, maybe. Anyway, it goes like this, and sorry for repeating if you've already read it...

We got this QB from the Packers
who smiled as he threw to linebackers...
He thought it was so funny...
That they paid him so much money...
despite having so many detractors.
