Free agency is almost upon us and there is a lot of news going on out there about some players being offered tenders while others are being allowed to test the waters. Friday, March 5 virtually signals the start of a brand new season in the NFL and some big names are being told they can give their "pull" a shot.

Let's check in around the league with the Saints' free agents, former Saints, and also just other names that are being told it's alright to go test their worth.

So far we have seen 13 of the 18 restricted free agents for the Saints be given qualifying offers by the team. Those that still are waiting for an offer are OG Jahri Evans, RB Mike Bell, DE Jeff Charleston, CB Leigh Torrence, and FB Kyle Eckel.

Whether those players will receive offers or not by the deadline on Thursday remains to be seen. It is expected at least that Evans will at least receive an offer and probably one of the highest level. It wouldn't entirely surprise me if the other four did not receive tenders and are told they could look around the NFL for work. Bell is the only other wild care I'm not entirely sure yet as to what the Saints may do with him.
