A thought for a quick fix

I think everyone agrees the problem with this team stems from the Off. Coord. With all the talent he has at his disposal and they can't move the ball.

Well, the bad news is he is all the saints have being Haz is a def. coach. Two brash remedies come to my mind to maybe give the offense a chance to get going. Being a Def. coach would HAZ know more about predicting a defensive scheme/play and countering it with his own offensive play? Can HAZ call the offensive plays??

The other thought, is there some unemployed play calling guru the saints could hire to sit in the box and call plays for this team? McCarthy can still coach the plays in practice and makes sure they are run like designed but he no longer has play calling duties.

Somthing has got to be done and I don't see how anything will get better if they keep trying to fix the same problem with the same problem solvers.

I hear Ronald McDonald and Bozo the clown are available. Either one could do about as good as yesterday was. :P Other than that I\'m all for anything that improves this team.

I\'ve heard a lot of people and I\'ll agree about the poor play calling by McCarthy. So, what I\'m wondering is how many of you would be for letting Brooks call the plays.

I have a better thought for a quick fix...

What are Matt Mauck and the LSU Defense doing on Sundays? If they are free, tell them to bring Nick Saban along with \'em.

I say we run the 2-minute offense the whole game.

...oh I\'m sorry, we have been running a 2-minute offense the whole game.

Ron Jaworski interviewed for the Philly job a few years back. Make him our OC.

It\'s a reach , but in the event of an emergency ...

Sheppard

Prior to arriving in Seattle, Sheppard served two seasons (1997-98) as the offensive coordinator for the San Diego Chargers under head coach Kevin Gilbride.

He is currently on staff with the Saints and has had prior Offensive coordinator experience , which is more then could be said about Mc Carthy when he joined the Saints .....

What\'s amazing to me is that everyone is calling for McCarthy\'s head. Yeah, I think he\'s not the O-coordinator we thought he was, but c\'mon. The Saints O has played 10 bad quarters of football. Maybe 20 if you count late last season. The Saints D has played about 75 bad quarters in the last year. Let\'s worry about Venturi first, McCarthy second. That\'s my opinion. I\'m not saying we should let McCarthy off the hook, but...

im sorry but mccarthy must go... it wasnt mccarthys play calling last year that got us all those points it was our players.... his play calling was bad last year and it is even worse this year.. we are really really predictable... and its a sad excuse with all the talent we have... we dont ever throw DOWN THE FIELD until the 2nd half when we are behind b/c we cant do anything in the first half...
