Not sure this guy fits in with the character we are looking to build. He killed a mother drunk driving if I am correct.

even if he cleaned himself up, Saints need to pass on this guy. He's on the down swing of his career and I thought they wanted character guys on the team

He is a character guy that made a mistake what, 10 years ago? I'm more concerned with his age at 36 years old. But if he still has a year or so left and at veteran minimum salary he may be a steal.

BTW, we have a guy named Hargrove that had real character issues.

Not a big fan. Not a fan at all. Why release Grant and sign a someone older to take his place? It seems that we are in need of some serious defensive help. Sharper, Grant and Fujita all gone and we still need a dt next to Ellis. First four rds going to defense? Maybe Hargrove and McCray can fill the d-line but we have NO safety ready to step up. WHAT THE CRAP!

Makes no sense. Hopefully we take a look at him and pass. Guy is old injured, and carrying some baggage. I'd rather give Grant another shot than Little.

Please let's not get carried away here and even put Hargrove's baggage in the same league as a man who basically got a slap on the wrist for killing another human being with his car.

Personally I'd rather sign Pac Man or Vick than this guy. I don't care if it was 10 years ago. What if it was your mom?

Funny how Vick got 18 months for killing some dogs and Stalworth and this loser get a combined 30 days. If we sign him I will be praying for his release or demise everyday

Anybody wanna look up OJ Simpson's number? He murdered a couple of people but it was like 20 years ago, so it's all good. I think Juice still has some legs left in him.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. All of you know the Saints will sign and release several free agents up to the first week of the season. Grant played like crap for the past couple of years, so i'm glad we unloaded that contract.

hmm...no. He was arrested multiple times for drunk driving AFTER the 1998 incident... and that's the stuff he got caught doing... The only "character" he's got, is that he plays football and has enough cheddar to pay for good lawyers.

Vick did NOT go to prison for "killing some dogs". He was charged with crimes under the R.I.C.O. act.
... and while Stallworth's blood alcohol level was above the legal limit, it didn't make the deceased jump in front of Stallworth's car in the middle of the street.
