I guess this is the future ...

Re: I guess this is the future ...
He seems to have a nose for the ball, I'll give him that. Although, correct me if I'm wrong, isn't he playing middle lb, on most of these plays?

Re: I guess this is the future ...
arnoux was projected as a MLB
of course this is a highlight video....so you only get highlights but also look at highlight videos of aaron curry and chip vaughn.....you'll notice #43 around the ball A LOT |
Re: I guess this is the future ...
The main thing that stands out to me is, that he can play coverage very well. Something we lacked with Fujita and Shanle on the outside. Notice his closing speed, when the TE or RB caught the pass. It was only one step if that, and they were creamed. He looks good on tape. let's hope he can get it done!

Re: I guess this is the future ...
If not MLB, would he be a better fit at WLB or SLB?

Re: I guess this is the future ...
I know someone is going to flame me for this, but I really miss the 3-4 defense we used to have. I don't know why, but it just seems to be more effective to me. Seems to hide blitzes better. IDK.

Re: I guess this is the future ...
Stanley A. is fast but he lacks size... And I fear if we dont get a mammoth NT to keep him clean he will have trouble shedding blockers and making plays.... :(

Re: I guess this is the future ...
I agree we need size in the middle - speed would be good also.

Re: I guess this is the future ...
I'm sure Vilma thinks he's doing fine and would like some help either inside or outside.:)

Re: I guess this is the future ...
I'm going to weigh in here guys because I have followed Stanley a lot over the last few years (I publish the Wake Forest Rivals website).
Aaron Curry got almost all of the love from the media, but people who really followed the program, know how much Arnoux meant to that team. He was the leading tackler on the team, and ran the second fastest time of any LB at the combine. He was the real quarterback of the best defense in Wake Forest history. The knock on Stan going into the league was that he doesn't have great size. He's also got to battle back from a really bad injury. But if he comes back 100% I think we've got a really good player. I was pumped when we took both him and Chip Vaughn in the draft. Two very good players |

Re: I guess this is the future ...
Stanley Arnoux 6'0" 232
Hmm at WLB? MLB? nice plug in player that should have a large impact on special teams and spot duty. No way can I see him as a starter. Stranger things have happened I guess. |

You dont get "flamed" here. This is the Happy Saints Board. If you want to be flamed, you have to go over to the "Flaming" Board & talk with the Flaming People. So help me out here. I cant get WWL much. Obviously, this is a guy named Arnoud from Wake Forest, home of the late Brian Piccolo. How do yall know we're getting him? Bring me up to speed, plz. HomerJ, your azz is driving me crazy. |
Re: I guess this is the future ...
Sky we drafted him last year with one of our 4th rounders....he got injured and was put on the IR before anyone really got to see what he could do....we are all hoping for the best!!!!
