The Saints have very little chance at changing the name of the Super Dome. It's been around since 1975. Corporate sponsors are smart enough to know it will always be the Super Dome. That is why the Saints have zero chance at cashing in on this issue.

And if I'm wrong, please correct me, but doesn't the State of Louisiana technically own the superdome? I'm sure concessions would have to made to the Saints for the deal to happen, but the sale would actually benefit Louisiana citizens more than it would the team. Oh yeah, and the Niners have won 5 superbowls, have one of the most historical franchises in NFL history. Steelers have 6 championships, plus probably the strongest fan base in the world. Also very historical. |
