Pierre Thomas says team is working on deal
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on April 4, 2010 11:25 AM ET One reason the Saints let Scott Fujita walk and haven't shown Darren Sharper the money love yet is they need to take care of some of their younger players first. Running back Pierre Thomas figures to be near the top of the list. "We're working on something," Thomas told the Baton Rouge Advocate. "I'm hoping it's sooner than later because I want to feel like I'm here. The fans gave me a shot, the Saints gave me a shot. This is where I want to be." Like many Saints, Thomas has been busy with appearances since the end of the season. He'll throw out the first pitch at a White Sox game next week. As is often the case with the Super Bowl champions, the Saints delayed the start of offseason conditioning. The team will start their program on April 19. |

Re: Pierre Thomas says team is working on deal
Too bad we cannot make EVERY player get paid on a performance based scale.
There would be a base salary & then bonuses for good play - TDs , yards, sacks, sacks not given, 100 rbs/wrs, etc. |
