bulger was a pro bowl QB....he has the skill set to be a starter but didnt have the talent around him to get back to the top

the rams are all about steven jackson and they are the kind of team that tells you what they are going to do, then they do it

If he can't get a starting jobe somewhere else (Raiders?) I could see him as an upgrade over Brunell as Brees backup.

Dude needs to sign with the Saints immediately. He is now the best backup QB in the league.

No thanks on Bulger. Why replace one old man with another? Especially since the Saints current elder knows the system.

I don't like this. It seems to lead everyone to believe that Bradford is the Rams pick. That means that the Buc's could get either Suh or McCoy, two very talented DT's. I won't pretend to know much about the draft but I know that these two DT's have the potential to be great in the NFL.

My money is on Bradford getting drafted by the Rams. St. Louis needs a good QB, and I think Bradford would be a good fit.

Seven years difference in age between Brunell and Bulger. And Bulger is only two years older than Brees. Now in no way am I comparing Bulger to Brees, but regardless of how well Brunell knows the system, I would much rather have Bulger just because he is younger....and I would be less afraid that my back-up would break a hip.

Well.... he was drafted by us originally long ago, if my recollection is accurate. It would be great to add him as a backup IMHO!

D it up, I guess it seems like Bulger has been around for a lot longer. It sucks that I'm calling a guy younger than me an old man.
He sure has some miles on him and he's been beaten up over the last few years. Come to think of it, so do a lot of guys that we've all discussed that the Saints should bring in.

Let him go to the Raiders or Browns.

Bulger is smart and has a good arm. Payton would know if he fits the system. Personally, I believe that he would be an upgrade over our elder statesman backup.

Maybe it's just me, but I would feel more comfortable with a guy seven years younger and has played for a crappy team with no weapons to work with the last few years, than a guy who has barely taken a snap in the last four years and broke into football when I was a senior in high school 17 years ago.

With the Saints O-Line and weapons, Bulger could absolutely win games for the Saints if the unthinkable happens. He is without a doubt an upgrade over the current backup.
