The source who sounded off anonymously on Tuesday regarding the Saints' treatment of the local media requested anonymity due to a fear of retaliation by the Saints. As it turns out, those fears were not unfounded.

Per another source in the New Orleans media who has asked to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation, the Saints have removed WWL-TV from the team's press-release list, and the Saints have informed WWL-TV that texts, e-mails, and calls from WWL-TV reporters won't be returned.

We're told there's also a chance that WWL-TV will not receive credentials for the 2010 draft.

I work in the media. I don't understand why they do this. I do understand the.comers. Media is changing as we know it. WWL is a legit media member. Heck their the local TV Station.

This is un frikkin believable. I don't care who violated who's trust, this bulls*** should be taken care of swiftly, professionally and privatly. Holy cow, WWL is New Orleans. What the hell is the front office thinking?

Good, I am glad the Saints had the balls to do this. Publishing the e-mails exchanged between the WWL TV reporter and the Saints' rep was an abuse. If WWL TV wants to play that way, let them cool their heels from the outside looking in.

Don't poop on the source of the biggest news story in town and expect them to keep communicating with you.

I know if a news station burned me I know it would not be business as usual.

Nah, Saints PR guy got snippy with a WWL TV reporter via some e-mail correspondence and the reporter published the e-mail online.

And really, the tone of the WWL TV segments on the 1200 seats that are lost this season has been pretty cheesey.

I listenned to Bobby Hebert and Deke How ever you spell his last name and they didnt mention this. My Dad still lives in the New Orleans are and he has not heard anything about this either. Has this been confirmed or is it rumor?

Bobby and Deke are not going anywhere near this.

BTW, I don't know that this even applies to WWL AM.
