Saints continue to court d-linemen, will meet with Wilkerson
Unrestricted free agent defensive end Jimmy Wilkerson will visit with the New Orleans Saints next week, according to a league source. Wilkerson was having a career year for Tampa Bay and on his way to a nice free-agent payday, but then suffered a season-ending knee injury in the penultimate game of the season. He is recovering ahead of schedule and will make his first visit next week with the defending Super Bowl champions. Wilkerson has been negotiating with the Buccaneers as well about remaining there. New Orleans signed end Alex Brown earlier this week, but remains in the market for defensive linemen. Can never have too much depth at this position, heading into the draft im feeling pretty confident with the front four |

+ 1 on the depth, and if we shore up our Run "D" we're gonna be scary next season.

solid depth.....not much more
like the clip says he was having a career year but would still only be a backup for us good to see us trying to address DE in free agency because it leaves us with a lot more options on draft day |
