I would prefer Fargas. We don't need another big money back.

I hope you guys are right, but I don't think Toby is going to be there at 64.

Uncapped or not, we can't afford PT, Reggie and Brown.

I like that there are a lot of rumors about offensive players on the move: Marshall, Brown, TO, Portis, M. Lynch, etc. Hopefully leaves some defensive players for us.

Well, I say if he can be acquired by a 3rd this year and 2nd next yes!. He's a Beast, Ronnie Brown would actually add to the offense not replicate what another player offers,That said Reggie Bush may or may not be here next season so adding ronnie brown to the mix would be solid. I'm not a much of a fan of Gerhart, Not impressed, Standford had an above avergae Oline in size so big bodies have been known to do wonders. I wish him a long and healthy career, but I'd pass if we were to use a 2nd pick on him i'd rather use that 2 on Ronnie Brown,a 3rd and 2011 2nd is fair hell Santonio Holmes is a Jet for a 5th so why not just a 3rd straight up and cash send Adrian Arrington out to miami to make the pot sweeter.

i think too many people are high on gerhart because of his stats

not enough people realize he also had more carries than any other running back in the country and had one of the better offensive lines in the nation.

not to discredit gerhart, but what could mark ingram have done with that many touches?

If Gerhart benefited from just an above average offensive line, think of what he can do with a really, really good offensive line that the Saints have.

"above average Oline in size"

stanford had a great offensive line

they didnt have a good QB or receivers.....but they had a great offensive line

the only thing toby gerhart should get a ton of credit for is the fact that he held up without getting injured after carryin the ball so many times

gerhart is talented.....but can he put up the same kind of production without that many carries? without that good of an offensive line? probably not

Of course he wouldn't get that many carries if the Saints draft him with PT and Reggie there, but the guy is a hammer with pretty good speed. Behind the Saints line, he could still produce, because I know you weren't meaning that Stanford's O-line is better than the Saints.

I agree here.. ..T.G..would get the tough yds and be a big asset to our O...that simple.

toby is a beast, but who mentioned if he could really get going with a minimal amount of carries. it may make a huge diference in his production..
i could see payton grabbing him.
