Free agent defensive end Jimmy Wilkerson to visit Saints next week
Bucs unrestricted free agent defensive end Jimmy Wilkerson will visit the Saints on Monday and Tuesday, a league source said. The Saints agreed to a two-year contract with defensive end Alex Brown on Wednesday, giving the Saints four defensive ends on the roster. And after a breakout season last year with Tampa Bay in which he started 15 games and had a career high 46 tackles and six sacks, Wilkerson would appear to be seeking a starting job. The Saints already have starting right end Will Smith and reserves Bobby McCray and Jeff Charleston, who signed his one-year restricted free agent tender of $1.101 million late last month. Wilkerson, 29, could provide depth at both end positions, if not battle Brown and McCray at the left end position. In seven seasons, playing for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buccaneers, Wilkerson has 163 tackles and 12 sacks, including 11 the past two years Free agent defensive end Jimmy Wilkerson to visit Saints next week | - NOLA.com |

I am very confused about this. I am guessing the Saints were able to sign Alex Brown because of the loss of Fujita. Can the Saints sign Wilkerson without another guy signing with another team? Seriously, this new free agency stuff for the top teams is just mind boggling.

They seem to be addressing DE in the FA market and will go after a Tackle in the draft. It is a deep draft for DT and even LBer.
