Strief signs one yr tender
According to his agent, Ralph Cindrich, New Orleans Saints restricted free agent offensive lineman Zach Strief has signed his one-year tender.
Strief entered the NFL as a seventh-round pick (210th overall) by the Saints out of Northwestern in 2006. The 6-7, 320-pound guard/tackle has started 5 of his 57 career games, but is often used as a blocking tight end in Sean Payton's offense. Strief signed a three-year contract as a rookie in 2006, but was not eligible for unrestricted free agency when it expired after the 2008 season. Strief played last season under a one-year, $1.545 million dollar restricted free agent tender, and New Orleans placed the "Second Round" tender on Strief in February, which comes with a $1.759 million dollar base salary for 2010. read the rest New Orleans Saints - Zach Strief-OL - Fantasy football - Rotoinfo.com http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:8...s/aboutpic.jpg |

Re: Strief signs one yr tender
This has been a quiet but successful offseason so far. We have signed most of our role players and upgraded the D-line. Resign Sharper and PT pre-draft and I give us an "A".
The Bell departure doesn't mean much, and although Fujita was wildly popular, he is replaceable, and matching the Cleveland money was really out of the question. |
