I liked him. very versitile player and catches everything. we will have a good TE group next year with him, miller, and shockey.


Saints re-signed restricted free agent TE David Thomas to a one-year contract.
Gaining playing time down the stretch last season, Thomas finished with a career-high 35 receptions for 356 yards. Turning 27 before the season, Thomas' fantasy value is dependent on Jeremy Shockey missing time with his usual assortment of injuries.

Good move He was Valuable not just filling in for Shockey but also and more so as a full back for Evans cause Eckle SUCKS

For some reason I thought the title was "Saints RELEASE David Thomas" and I nearly fell out of my chair. This guy is good and I'm very happy to see him sticking around.

Good player, doesn't get a lot of recognition. He's not fast but faster than defenders tend to think. Catches well and blocks well. Good move getting him back in the fold, one less hole to fill.
