Pollard expected to play; James hurting NFL.com wire reports INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 26, 2003) -- Marcus Pollard is expected to play for the Indianapolis Colts against New Orleans after spending the night of Sept. 25 in a hospital. Neither Pollard nor Colts coach Tony Dungy would give any details. Pollard watched practice Sept. 26 and said he expected to take part in the next day's workout. "All I can tell you is that I had to go see the wizard," Pollard said. "Everything's fine. I'll be ready to play on Sunday." Colts leading rusher Edgerrin James remained doubtful, missing practice again with a back injury. He has missed all four days this week after hurting his back against Jacksonville. Dungy said he wouldn't decide on James until game day, but was pessimistic. He also said defensive end Dwight Freeney (ankle and lower back) would be a game-time decision. |
