Brown is a goner. He hasn't been tendered because he wants big money. If false starts were a good thing in this league, I'd say keep him. Unfortunately they are not, so if we can get an elite DT (even with irritable foot syndrome).....do it!

brown doesnt get penalized as much as you guys think

here is an article from '07 i believe talking about penalties from players

never once do they mention brown and there isnt a single saint in the entire article

Flag these guys down when there's a penalty on the play - NFL - ESPN

heres another article that talks about his career high 7 holding penalties in '08 but no mention of the 635 pass attempts
