Geller: Harry "Hitman" Coleman contracted by Saints
Right after "Mr. Irrelevant" was selected by the Detroit Lions in the NFL draft, the Saints front office was still hard at work trying to lure some of the remaining undrafted talent to New Orleans. One of the newest assassins hired for defensive coordinator Gregg Williams to mold is safety/linebacker, Harry "Hitman" Coleman out of LSU.
He moved from strong safety to linebacker as a senior and finished his college career with 183 tackles, 4 sacks, 11 pass defenses, 4 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries in 52 games, which he stated in the final 26 for the Tigers. In his senior year Coleman was named LSU's Most Valuable Player, posting career-highs with 82 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 4 sacks and 3 forced fumbles.
