Coach Sean Payton denies he ever abused or stole any pain medication
 

"I have reviewed Geoff Santini's lawsuit and the unwarranted publicity it has received," Payton said in the statement. "I have never abused or stolen Vicodin or any other medication and I fully support the Saints' position in this matter as expressed by Greg Bensel yesterday."

Payton is not named in the lawsuit, but sources have confirmed that he is the one referred to as "Senior Staff Member A," who allegedly was recorded as having been dispensed a large number of Vicodin pills despite having no medical condition.

Wow. This is just ridiculous. Some A-Hole who wanted to "settle" or he would go public. That says it all. He was looking for a quick payout...The Saints said F-OFF and he says, "Fine! I'm telling everyone!". It's blackmail. Period.

Watch they will probably throw Joe Vitt under the bus. But look at The Great Santini's background FBI to NFL security and all the past baggage. But yeah all the NFL Coachs are ordering extra Vicodin for next season.

Its a little confusing to me... What is he suing for was it his vicodin. Is he suing for money from the team did they do something to harm him... Why did he not just go to the police and report a crime, or to a medical panel and report mishandeling of Prescription narcotics. On What grounds is he suing cause people steal drugs all the time. Is he suing for lost profit from the potential sale of the missing vicodin??? Confusing This society loves to SUE. Dud should mind his business and go The F away

He's suing saying his superb morals would not allow him to be involved in a conspiracy so he quit, although those same morals did not apply to the shakedown he then attempted.

Obviously Payton was aware of Vitt and so was Loomis. Those guys don't miss stuff like that. Vitt's toast. Mickey is in it too. If Payton is on a video he's in deep as well. If Loomis is to take care of that stuff and Payton trusted him in taking care of it he will be fine.

On a related note don't forget that Brett "GrandPaw" Favre was at one time "addicted" to Vicodin. Granted there was no "stealing" involved but funny how that subject hasn't been mentioned.
