I still miss Buddy D :(

of all the irony and all the joy and everything in between with the Saints winning the SB, I still can't believe that Buddy D missed it and probably died certain it'd never happen. That's the biggest tragedy of the whole thing. I feel like he got cheated.

sadly, he missed the whole Drew Brees era..... Man!, he'd have loved him some Drew Brees huh? He'd be violently assuring all listeners within reach that Brees is the best QB in the NFL has ever seen...... sad

He did not miss a thing .... He saw and is still seeing the whole thing from upstairs probably with his dress. He probably helped exorcise the bad karma. God Bless Him!

Yea... it's hard to think that the "Grandfather of Saints Football" isn't with us any longer.

I'm born, raised and still live in the New Orleans area where he was an icon.

Still, winning the Superbowl kinda takes the desperation out of being a Saints fan. I still haven't learned how to deal with it correctly.

He saw this before it even happened and he didn't tell us!! Man I still miss Buddy D just like the rest of yall. He is only a memory now but at least I got to meet him and listened to him all the time. One day I hope we will meet again!

I hear ya FF. It was so weird watching Saints games into the first week of February. I still don't think that it's set in completely for me yet.

I know this might sound weird too, but I keep waiting for the NFL to come out with a statement, that they made a mistake, and we didn't really win it!
Anyone else feel like that sometimes?
