Re: Adrian Arrington ??
Rod Harper holds down a spot that he could occupy if he makes plays and stays healthy, that said I'mma go out on a limb and say Chris Bell occupies AA's Practice squad slot this year, I think he's ready to step in as a 5wr but hes gotts tay healthy toe injuries are bull**** i know they hurt iv had em but no reason to keep u on IR just stop running on it ice up and let it heal, He's gotta turn his shi_T its do or die time for him i believe

Re: Adrian Arrington ??
AA was decent in college but nothin spectacular behind a very very good WR corps
its a shame that he had to play behind so many studs that are now successful in the NFL in braylon edwards, steve breaston, and jason avant because it gave him less reps and less opportunities this is his last season here.....i like his potential but like one of the "experts" said during the draft.......potential is a fancy word for hasnt shown anything yet |
Re: Adrian Arrington ??
Time for AA to step up or get the hell outta the way, we are trying for legendary status here, it's time for Saints to join Dallas, San Fransisco, Pittsburgh, New England, and Chicago in proving ourselves as a franchise to be respected and modeled after.
- sorry for the rambling im a lil perched. |

I gave up on Meachum after year 1, but they did what they needed to. That guy couldn't catch a thing in camps, always looked lost and was constantly getting grilled by coach Johnson. When they put him in game situations early on, he choked more often than not.... resulting in him seeing little play time. Then, all of a sudden he was inserted as a valuable option. All signs point to little potential with Adrian, but who knows how and why they do what they do.... we'll see. |

Re: Adrian Arrington ??
Point I think most are missing is regardless of him "stepping it up" or not he won't make the field. We already have Colston, Meachum, Henderson, and Moore. I really don't see any of those guys going anywhere and I doubt we will be carrying 5 WRs since we will be carrying 3 TE's. Assuming we try to work in our new TE, Graham.
For all we know it's not about his skills and what he has shown, rather the absence of an opportunity. Keep in mind he was first on deck when Meachum was injured and was in danger of missing the first playoff game. AA best chance is actually 2011 (if there's football) if we don't do anything with Lance's contract, we would probably trade or lose Lance and bump up AA. |

Colston? Meach? Devery? Lance? Roby on ST? |
Re: Adrian Arrington ??
AA is on the same 3 year plan as Meachem and Henderson. We all were screaming for Devery's release, and many of us last year were thinking the same with RM.
That said, AA better be working his @$$ off right now. |
Re: Adrian Arrington ??
I wish there was still the Euro league around to try and figure out what to do with guys like AA.

Re: Adrian Arrington ??
Agreed, AA is a long shot at best. The only way he could possibly make this roster is if the injury bug hits, so on those grounds I hope he doesn't make it. Seriously though, had he not been injured he would have had a nice opportunity to get into the mix. Just don't see it now, the Saints are so set at the position.

I've been pulling for him since he first came in and looked so good...he's going to have to have a great camp.
|
Re: Adrian Arrington ??
a great camp and i hate to say it but someone gets banged up. thats when he has to make the statement.
|
Re: Adrian Arrington ??
I've seen college footage of this kid, and he made some great plays with Michigan. Had really good hands, made tough catches in traffic. Was even really good at getting extra yards after the catch. But I haven't really seen him do squat at the next level. I agree, one more training camp, and it's a do or die situation for sure.

You can't rag on people for giving up on Devery. I mean, come on, that last bad season he dropped about one of every 3 passes thrown his way. He was bad. Yes, he could get long bomb TDs in the blink of an eye, but his drops were pretty critical in a lot of games. He stopped quite a few first downs that any professional receiver should have had. It's not like we were over-reacting by wanting to get rid of a wide receiver, who after YEARS on the team, just couldn't catch. Yes, we would have made a mistake getting rid of him but it wouldn't have been an irrational mistake. Frankly, we all got lucky that he miraculously learned how to catch. Damn glad he did, but it took him long enough. |

Oh, I'm with you. Being the LSU Homer that I am, I am glad that he has learned to soften up his hands. For the past couple of years many have been begging for his departure. I don't want people to eat crow or anything like that....I'm just glad his name isn't "MUD" right now. |
