Brandon Sharpe: What do y'all think about this guy?
 

He looks like another great undrafted rookie free agent find by the Saints this offseason to compete for a spot on the roster at DE. What do you think his chances are of making the final 53 man roster alongside Will Smith, Alex Brown Jimmy Wilkerson and Bobby McCray?


Will he be able to beat out Jeff Charleston (?) is essentially the underlying question here, I suppose.

He will also probably have to outperform fellow R free agent Junior Galette, who has already impressed head coach Sean Payton to comment on it publicly.

Granted that Wilkerson, much like Anthony Hargrove, can play either DT or DE and can fill 2 needs on the team with only one roster spot to possibly open up more spots for DE's, but you can still only carry 53 and cuts will need to be made somewhere on the field.

I like Gallet..but this kid is a gamer...i wouldnt be suprised if we kept both..theres so much talent there...i watched a few of his games and he dominated...

I'd love to see the Saints keep both young kids at DE in Galette and Sharpe myself.

If and when Will Smith gets his suspension handed down, we'll have that one more spot open up right away for the first 4 games of the season anyway, so that gives at least one of them a prime open door to walk in through, so to speak...

Yep ...i agree..these kids might have a real shot to show their stuff..when the bullets fly for real..

Well from the film he looks like a monster strong powerful de. considering its a highlight video and he went undrafted he may have nasty flaws. Althought he did play in the big 12 and is kicking trent williams and Russel Okungs' A$$ in a few clips, he has talent, maybe hes the UDFA gem for the draft.
