So does that mean he would play in the nickel, or does that still go to Gay? I'm thinking that Gay would still come in on nickel, which would mean that MJ's main contribution will still be on special teams, providing Sharper stays healthy.

remember we have the predator 2.0 in patrick robinson, maybe jenkins plays a number of snaps at nickel and dime, i'm hoping he learns from sharp all year

If Jenkins is not on the field at FS this season due to Sharper's inability to be, he will be the third CB ahead of Robinson. The reps in OTA's at safety and camp allows him to learn what will eventually be his permanent position.

Most of us knew this move was coming eventually. I also agree that he will end up being a stud at free safety.

But, head a few bad games at DB. Of course that's because he was a rookie.

Well not much to say he played well at CB but his excelleration is what doomed him, he gets faster as he goes along so he would have been suspect on quick burner WRs, that said having Greer and Porter on the outsides will benefit him like it did Sharper, at FS he can just Roam & Romp all game long Patrick Robinson can hold the dime while he transitions Randal Gay can hang on to the nickle until PR is ready. I'm interested to see what will come of Roman Harpers situation, Chip Vaughn is interchangeable at S is faster and on film is a very sound tackler as a football mind if everything is equal except for speed Id go with the better coverage player

I thought he was just average at corner last year... with a nice play here and there. I do believe he will be a much better player with the ball in front of him.
