I'm all for adding more good players, but he'll command a ridiculous amount of money and we're loaded in the secondary right now. I wouldn't be opposed, but it's not going to happen.
I'm still holding out for John Henderson and, if he's still unsigned, Ciron Black.

This right here is why the Saints do not need Atogwe. The secondary is not an area that needs more players brought in. I could see bringing in another DT, and maybe another linebacker, but not a safety. Had the Saints not re-signed Sharper, I would think that they might make a play for him. With Sharper back in the fold, Jenkins moving to safety, and Chip Vaughn in the mix, I don't see a reason to even think about spending a lot of money on an area that is arguably the strongest part of the defense.

No chance. Pierre gets a deal prior to training camp. Saints sign either Bulger, Ramsey, or another vet as a backup QB. Drew either gets extended or not depending on whether or not Manning and Brady get done. Possibly Jammal Brown gets traded for a 2011 draft pick.

This is about all we have to look forward to until training camp. Hunker down for two solid months of inactivity. At least it's summertime and it's a World Cup year. Things could be worse.

i would love to have Atogwe. ive wanted him since last off season. however, i think the money would be better spent on DL or LB or even paying one of these goofballs who are holding out. im excited about seeing Jenkins as FS too. But if we did have atogwe we would have 4 bad ass cornerbacks so we would rarely miss a beat in the event of an injury. im really torn now that we are discussing it. i guess i do want atogwe but i dont think it will happen
