This is a good read. Kind of blows my sentimental desire for PT to get paid right out of the water. This is a new day for the running back position.

PT is absolutely crazy to think he will get close to what he is aksing for. im sure most of it is his agent but come on man, he should have some input

as much as i love pierre and what he brings to the table, Steven Jackson guarantees atleast 1500 all purpose yards every season and between 10-15 touchdowns. Hes a 3 down back and mows down defenders, thats why jackson is paid that sort of money. Pierre is very good, but hasn't shown the production jackson has yet.

He needs reality check... He did do good last season and was part of why we went to super bowl but steven jackson he is just beast mode plays for ****ty team and he still getting numbers pierre is good but look at his surrounding cast..... much better than steven jackson... if they switched teams pierre couldn't put up those numbers Steven Jackson is...

NEVER HEARD THAT ONE BEFORE ALLSAINTS . let them switch teams and see what happens? we would'nt have needed bell for sure with s. jackson.

Well really wasn't what I meant just saying if Pierre was Startin RB for St. Louis his numbers wouldn't be close to what Steven Jackson has put up there....

I just want to know wether or not he is going to play for us next year and if he isn't going to then who will. I like PT. I want him to stay, but as much as part of the NFL this type of fiasco is, I hate it. Just like any other player, I hope he gets paid what he's worth, not a penny more. Whatever that number is.

None of us is cutting the check on PT. I think some of us are taking this too serious. I argree with the post about I hope he gets everything he ask for. I think he desreves a raise. Concider it back payment.

pt was offered 11 mill over 4 years and his company laughed at the offer. if he don't sign the tender it will go down 500,000.

he will sign by next tuesday, he better or it not going to be a good year for p.t.

IMHO that's fair...maybe it's the signing bonus or incentives that have things tied up?

what i meant was he would go back to making 500,000 if he don't sign the tender thats on the table. 1.2 or 3. thats a 800,000 thou lost,
he'll sign i think. the 11 mill is what i heard from pat kerwin which hates the saints anyway. he says thomas signs by the 14th

I agree that the role/importance of running backs in the leauge has lost some of it's importance to current offensive schemes especially one like the Saints which is totally designed around Drew Brees. The thing that truely bothers me about PT's contractual demands is the whole dejavu of past contracts. Need I mention Aaron Brooks, Charles Grant, etc.. Also he really hasn't proven himself to be worth that amount. C'mon Man!!!!!
