Jamaal Brown wants to be released...

Saints beat writer Jeff Duncan confirms that unsigned restricted free agent LT Jammal Brown "isn't going anywhere," despite his reported displeasure in New Orleans.
Yahoo! reported Monday that Brown wants to be released, but the Saints aren't going to give up a talented left tackle for nothing. The team holds all the cards, with Jermon Bushrod plenty capable of starting if Brown holds out.

Apparently not much, according to the Saints. The team wants him to sign his tender, and possibly sompete for the starting LT spot this coming season. Or they want him to sign his tender so they can trade him to another team.

Brown wants a long-term deal, which he is not going to get. I think he will have to sign his tender, and report. If he does sign, he could then be traded to another team. That other team might even want him to play RT, in which case his value would decrease significantly anyway. But if he does not sign, and holds out, he would be unable to show any potential employers whether he can still play or not. And, if he does not play again in 2010, that will be two full seasons of being idle, something that will lower his value. He doesn't have much in the way of leverage.

Go right ahead bra ..... doubt there's much demand for a left tackle with weak knees thats good for 2-3 penalties a game. For some reason I still don't see how he was selected to 2 pro bowls to begin with
