Cowboys wanted Jammal Brown
Cowboys wanted Jammal Brown
By Mark J. Miller Former New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Jammal Brown(notes) is now a member of the Washington Redskins thanks to a weekend trade, but he could have ended up in Texas, according to the Dallas Morning News. The Dallas Cowboys also had interest in signing former Pro Bowler Brown, the paper reports. Because of a sports hernia and a hip injury, Brown didn't make it onto the field last year for the Saints, an unfortunate season to miss since his team went on to win the Super Bowl. Brown had skipped the team's voluntary workouts, the News reports, because he "was unhappy with Saints management." Brown was the 13th overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. http://a323.yahoofs.com/ymg/ept_spor...RLPVDDHnHX.OcR NFL : Sports Rumors - Yahoo! Sports Blog |

We didn't get a king's ransom from Washington for JBrown. But I'm definitely glad that Dallas didn't get him, even if they may have offered more.

Re: Cowboys wanted Jammal Brown
As of right now the Cowboys are a bigger threat to the Saints than the Redskins are. Of course with each new season that can easily change, but for now better for the Saints for Brown to not be with the Cowboys.
