How long do you think Breesus will play?
 

With Brady recently proclaiming to the world he wants to play until age 43, this brings an interesting question for our very own HOF QB. He's currently 31.... so I would guess Breesus plays for us another 10 years? That gives us a shot at a Super Bowl in the next ten years? Can you say, WHO DAT?

I think he plays another 6 or 7 years tops. He's a smart guy and I dont see him risking his future health like some of these other idiots do(See #4 for the Vikings).

I'd say bout another 8 years, if brees puts together two or three more years with the same stats as last year he is a first ballot HOF. I personally think he is hall of famer now, he is going to help his cause with the next couple of seasons. Plus the league need to stop giving manning the league MVP just for showing up when he didn't even deserve it last year, but hey we got the last laugh.

I think it GREATLY depends on how well we do. If we repeat in the next 3 years, I say he may bow out in 5 years. He has a kid and one on the way. family is big with him. Also he knows he could pretty much pick what he does after football.

many factors here, including family, offensive line, salary cap, and success

Let's say we win 1 or 2 more in the next 5...would he retire?
let's say we don't win in the next 5, does that make him want to stay longer?

Either way, we have him for 3-4 minimum, which means we should be looking at college sophomores right now: 2-3 more years in school, 1 to hold the clip board, then ready to start year 2 if necessary

At least on my TV because I have him on Blu-Ray and DVD, and I will be watching this 20 years from now.

Now, for the team...maybe 5-7 years, barring any serious injury like the one that brought him to us in the first place.

Elway played for what, 15 years. For Drew Brees to retire after 15 years, that would give him 6 more good years to play. Elway's last game was as Superbowl MVP. That's the way Brees' HOF career will end in 5,6 or 7 years from now.

one thing we can be certain of - when he does leave football he will known as one of the greatest QB's to ever have played the game and most likely the best football player the saints organization have ever had.
