Favre hasn't decided on retirement

I honestly don't want Favre to retire because I think that the rivalry that is stirring up between the Saints and Vikings is good for football(and I'm confident in the Saints even though the Vikings are a good team).

Here is the article though; apparently Favre wants a 3 year deal for 13 million each.

We should change the name of this site from BlackandGold to PurpleandWhiteFavreWatch website. People here claim to dislike the future HOF QB...but can't seem to keep their mind off him. Go figure.

I don't really dislike Brett Favre, I think the media blows everything out of proportions. It's not his fault the media is doing that. He's trying to make a smart decision about what to do, and hes using the time that the Vikings afford him to do it. I'm not sure what else he is supposed to do.

Now I have to go spread-out some REP's...just so I can give you your dues. Very nice post...at least I liked it. I'm not against Brett in any way, shape, or form...of course, I'm from Mississippi. We are proud that he is, too, and we are also proud that he has been a model for other players to mold themselves after...with the exception of his one incident with pain pills, which I personally can understand. I mean...didn't Rush get addicted on those and he doesn't even play QB in the NFL.

Wow...I'm rambling again.

I agree hitta. I to don't dislike Brett Favre. I've always been a Green Bay fan (Saints are always first though) and I have enjoyed watching him play for the last twenty years. I've always admired his attitude towards the game. He lets you know that he is truly having fun playing football. It's like watching a big kid play. He has that much enthusiasm. He's terribly reckless, but so is kicking an onside kick to start the second half of the Superbowl. But sometimes that what it takes to be a champion. However, I don't like the way he has treated the teams he has played for the last four years. I think it's wrong for him to hold out as long as he has on a retirement decision each season. It's almost like he's holding these teams hostage. Green Bay got tired of it and fired him. If Minnisooooooota didn't suck so bad without him, they would probably fire him too. That's what people don't like about him. And now his biggest fans, the media, are starting to turn on him. They too are getting tired of his antics. Like him or not, he's good. And now the whole football world is on "Favre Watch".

If you like the drama, it's fun, but if he were doing this to the Saints instead of the Vikes, you'd be ready to kill him.

With all the talk of training camps and so forth and nobody caring about what that clown does, he just couldn't face the fact that he wasn't being mentioned in the news all day, so he had someone leak that retirement garbage just like every year. I wish someone would tell that egotistical drama queen that this junk is getting really tiresome.

As Rich Eisen is fond of saying, Favre Watch is all about intrigue and unanswered questions.

Yes, it is. And we might finally have the proof that we’ve been needing, enough to finally answer the question we think we already know the answer to.

Minneapolis radio host and columnist Patrick Reusse has the scoop, according to his inside sources, that Deanna Favre has renewed her membership at Lifetime Fitness to cover the season.

So, Brett Favre isssss coming back!

Re: Favre hasn't decided on retirement

This season could be seen as the media blowing things out of proportion, because it is understandable coming off an injury and surgery. The previous three seasons? I'm not buying it. Favre has brought most of this on himself from the first time he pulled the stunt when he was with the Packers. That's why they drafted Aaron Rodgers. They were looking ahead to their future, because they had look out for themselves. The only reason he ended up with the Jets for that one season was because the Packers wised up and said they were going to move on without him after he pulled the stunt a 2nd time. Favre got his fragile feelings and ego hurt, so he said he was coming back. When told he was going to have to compete for the starting spot, he wasn't having any of that. He just felt it should have been gift-wrapped to him. The Jets quickly learned from the Packers, and drafted Sanchez when Favre decided to "retire" again. The Vikings are so desperate to win that they are going to keep the saga going. They haven't learned, but they should have. They should have prepared themselves for their future at QB even after having signed Favre last year. That's why they are scrambling around like chickens with their heads cut off to offer him more money in hopes that it entices him to stay with the team. I mean seriously. Do the names "Tarvaris Jackson" or "Sage Rosenfels" strike fear into opposing defenses? They are ill-prepared to go on without him, so they will try to keep up by any means necessary. The Vikings are dumb, and Brett Favre is stringing them along like a teenage girl that just lost her virginity to him. Not really caring what he does that may hurt them, but doing just enough to keep himself satisfied. At least the Packers and Jets saw through his BS got rid of the prima donna.

Re: Favre hasn't decided on retirement

Why is the media rewriting history. The surgery that drama queen had on his ankle was to remove bone spurs and scar tissue. Neither of those is caused by an acute injury. They're both age related. NOW we're hearing that he had reconstructive surgery! I have news for everyone. Reconstructive surgery requires 6 to 9 months of healing and rehab. You don't play two months after you have that. The simple fact is that the surgery and that clown's ankle problem are NOT a result of the injury he faked in the NFC championship game.

This only solidifies the fact that Brett is the ultimate Drama Viqueen. I too don't dislike Brett but this proves why Brett can't give football up. His ego is so big and needs constant nourishment that he has to be, always and forever, the center of attention. As I have said before what else does he need to accomplish as he is a shoe-in for the HOF on first ballot. He already has more money than his grandkids could spend, so what's up? The ego won't let him go out with grace as Kurt Warner did. 'Nuff said Brett, if your going to play get your South Mississippi a** in training camp. If you can play around at Oak Grove with a bunch of high schoolers you can be in Minnihaha with your team. I really want him to be in the Dome Sept. 9 to prove to all the naysayers the Saints are the real deal . . . Believe Dat!

Its the same song and dance year after year now and its getting old. He's still got over a month before the season starts so this is far from over. Wish he'd just make up his mind so I can start watching NFLN again

Me personally, I'll admit I don't like him.

I'm not saying he's not a great QB, but all the retiring/unretiring/retiring crap he's pulled over the past four years is really getting old. It's sad. He could have retired a legend with a great career behind him. Now, when he finally does retire FOR GOOD, he'll forever be remembered as a joke.

Did Brett Favre Send Nude Pix to Model Jenn Sterger?
Posted by Stephen Smith

Fresh off making headlines for possibly ending his hall of fame career, Brett Favre is suddenly making news for something far more sensational.

According to an article at Deadspin, the quarterback may have sent a slew of graphic photos - namely shots of his private parts - to model Jenn Sterger.

Sterger, who works at the sports show "The Daily Line," allegedly received the images on her phone while she was working as a sideline reporter for the New York Jets in 2008.

Sterger claims Favre, who is married, sent her numerous graphic pictures and flirty voicemails but she rejected his advances.
